Great for Road Tea and Ramen
Last year we traveled across the country and the one thing we do is drink a lot of tea in our house, like A LOT, like we order our tea in catering packs with 1100 tea bags, yes that much. So with this of course we had to also stop a lot to heed the call of nature but we really don't like the idea of using gas stations for drop off only, we'd prefer an even exchange, however we didn't need to fill our gas tanks as much as we needed to empty our own tanks and there is only so many token purchases you can make to use the restroom or get 'free' hot water from the coffee machine. We're Minnesotan nice, we don't take the last piece of anything at a potluck, we don't pee when we don't purchase or get 'free' hot water from the coffee machine, equal exchanges only please. We'd rather stop at a rest stop instead of face the truck stop dilemma I just stated. This is where this little device comes in.We had bottled water, we had the need for tea or quick meals, we even had a dual fuel coleman stove so we could possibly heat water at the picnic area (we had a kitted out van) if we wanted to stop for 20 minutes each time. Oddly enough we actually wanted to not do that multiple times a day. So after this trip our search began for a water kettle that could be used in a carThis little device is fantastic, unfortunately didn't have it for our trip but we've taken smaller trips with it and it has performed well. If you are looking for the speed of a plugin tea kettle, this isn't it. We timed it and it took about 23 minutes to heat to boiling, it is enough for more than two instant ramen cups and for one 20 oz travel mug for tea. Since we can let it do it's thing while also traveling 75mph down the road the time doesn't really matter to us. Since we also only use it to heat the water and use other containers for our food and drink clean up is non existent. I'd recommend if you want hot water while traveling.

Leaks terribly
Instructions were all in Chinese and bottle leaks at the base pretty bad. 1/4 of the bottle drains before it’s brought to temperature

slow boil, low boil
Takes about a half hour or longer to boil while your car engine has to be turned on.The boil is just hot enough to brew coffee or tea, it's not a full boil. The instructions are also in poorly translated english.

Get a new fuse and it’s great
This takes just a few minutes to heat up and I used it to make instant coffee and hot cocoa with while driving long distances. The only issue is that it came with a 220V fuse and using that could damage the car. My socket is good to 120W, so I put in a 10A fuse that I got at a gas station.

Works great, easy to use, if you follow the instructions. *Wink*
Fantastic little car kettle. Warms water very fast and is super easy to clean (the limestone from water, I wouldn’t put actual coffee inside of the kettle).Though I’ve done it, it’s best to not to sit there and wait for the water to boil, rather, plug it in when you begin your trip and it will be waiting for you a few minutes later and and won’t have drained the battery. One of the “most helpful” reviews says that it blew the fuse in their truck and blamed the kettle, but they obviously can not read. There is another review complaining about the plastic (which I noticed while researching most electric kettles) and I wonder if they’ve ever had coffee or tea from a cafe, coffee machine, or one of those popular pod devices that work often provides. I live in Los Angeles where people smoke heavily and drive dinosaur cars pumping pollution into the air for hours on end, so I’m happy to take the chance of dying a few days early in order to enjoy the hellish traffic with a hot cup of tea. The device appears thoughtfully designed.Sounds like the person complaining about error codes is also using it improperly. I get error codes only when I make a mistake and am thankful for that. One second adjustment to continue, such as, reseating the kettle on it’s base when when I accidentally start it wrong.Re-added this to my cart last night to repurchase and seems it’s no longer offered. Very sad. Hope the seller changes their mind, $25 was a decent price for a great car kettle.

Great little gadget!
I bought this so I can brew tea on the road. It's a little confusing to work at first and I wish it were larger. It works exactly as described. Be careful, the water does get really hot. The lid has a steam vent which can burn if you aren't careful and it will leak if turned on its side, fyi. All in all, I'm glad I bought it.Update: after using this for a while I've come to love it! Yes, it takes a bit to boil but you rarely need it at 99 degrees Celsius. I usually stop it about 80* for my needs. I'm so glad I have this ready to use at any given time in my car. It's one of the best purchases I've made.

Its junk.
This thing worked good for a short while. Now it sucks. Constantly errors out and stops working. Terrific junk. But what to expect when purchasing products from this country of manufacture.Update: now I am getting another error, E3, constant issues to the point it doesn't even get the water hotUpdate: now I am getting another error - E5. How does something that just boils water have so many error codes?

This was a good buy for me.
I loved this water boiler, when I was on a road trip it was very handy. I had my favorite coffee and all the fixing. I did not have to stop for coffee on a 1900 mile road trip. The only negative was the base could not be mounted, it was two large for the cup holder and the vent brackets did not offer enough support. My next trip I will add a velcro disk under the base and to the flat portion of my dashboard. That should fix any problems I have.

Boiling wather has a contact with metal base & plastic.
Did not even turn it on. It looks different on the illustrations provided. The bottom (the heating base has a lot of plastic on top of the metal and the rubber around too. This definately does not look a reliable method to boil the wayer when the boiling water is touching the plastic and the plastic has a contact woth the metal heating base. I also doubt the plastic touching the water is a food grade one. It’s a pity. Really was looking forward to receiving it.
