Leather Country Boot

Warm replacement for cold wellies
Bought for a lady with slender legs. She wanted something to replace her old punctured wellies that shes been going through every 2 years it so, and she wanted something more durable but looked good with normal jeans rather than requiring matching skinny jeans, and these ticked that box.She says these make a huge difference over old wellies where her toes would freeze in cold weather. These boots are so much warmer, and do stave off the feeling that toes are going to snap off in the cold. Feet might still feel a bit chilly - they don’t have heat packs or anything inside - just better than freezy wellies.Fit wise - foot sizing is as expected. They are quite narrow up the legs so per other reviews that’s a potential sticking point for some leg shapes. But saying that, with skinny legs the top of the boots are reasonably roomy so they do look more country rugged than skinny jeans fashion. She did say too that she’s having to get used to walking in them. There’s no feeling of ankle support, but then wellies don’t really give that either, just that the foot section does feel a bit more solid with fairly stiff soles, so it’s a funny feeling she’s having to get used to, as someone who doesn’t wear high-calf boots normally other than wellies.

Bought these to replace Hunter wellingtons - best buy ever
I love these boots, they are warm, waterproof and you can wear them anywhere - if you want that casual country look, without paying the price of other such boots. I bought these to replace a pair of hunter wellingtons that split after 3 months daily wear (apparently they are supposed to be worn that much!!!) These Toggi boots i can wear without socks and my feet stay warm and dry. I have large calves and to begin with it was a struggle to pull them on, but persevere, they do soften. I bought a size 5 and its a good size 5, if i could have got my calves into a smaller size I would have, but saying that i am not slopping around in them, they are comfortable and have an excellent grip from the sturdy sole. Expensive, but not as much as other similar boots on the market, comfortable - oh yes! Great grip in the recent snow, waterproof and stylish. High recommended

So Glad I Opted For These!
I decided to take a punt on these boots based on the reviews, as opposed to buying the bigger branded more expensive ones. I am so glad I did. I am always between a 4 or a 5 & went for the 5 in these boots as I like to wear thick walking socks. They were a little bigger than hoped for but decided the 4’s may be too tight, so kept them. One of them initially rubbed the back of my heel but sorted with another pair of socks & did a couple of shorter walks first just in case. Then did a 5 miler & still using the double socks, they were great & so comfortable, especially since I have flat awkward feet, so I was very impressed. They were fine in sploshy mud no leakage & this morning tried them in water puddles up to the ankles & no leakage! Well happy. They dry out nicely, easy to brush off the dry mud & I will spray them periodically to ensure the waterproofing remains. So happy I opted for these ones.

Size down ladies
Only tried these shoes on once but they seem fine so far. I'm a ladies size uk9 and I ordered the 8 based on them being unisex and the chart... so glad I did as they fit great! As previous reviews state however it was near impossible to get them on over the heal!!! It took some serious effort!!! But then once finally on they did fit great. I recon it'll just take a few days of hard work for them to loosen up. The calves are too big for me too which is annoying but I guess it means I can eventually wear big welly socks. Also, I do wish the colour brown was slightly lighter in colour like the photos but not too far off.All in all I'm pretty happy with my purchase but will have to wait and see as the days go by.

You wont regret buying these
Went walking in my Toggi boots through a river today - no leaks at all. I bought these in 2015. They are still going strong. Worn every day virtually for dog walks through the countryside and the occasional paddle! Made a rookie mistake and did walk too far in them the first few times and paid the price with blisters, but they are like comfy slippers now. So glad I bought them.

Great boots, highly recommended.
Really good boots. Very good quality. I was concerned over sizing after seeing other reviews but found them true to the size I have always taken in normal shoes. They are stiff at first, especially getting them on but I found that when new you have to stand into them rather than sit and pot them on. This is why some report they can't get their foot past the ankle, the heel cup and stiff leather mean you have to get these on at the right angle. However after 3 days the leather softened and they could be put on normally. These boots are comfortable, waterproof and warm. No rubbing our blisters even straight out of the box.Highly recommended.

Lovely boot but too big and baggy
These boots are just lovely. Very well made, super comfortable, like slipping on a pair of sheepskin lined slippers and they have amazing grip on the sole, the reason I chose them. But they do come up big. This would be my third pair of country boots. I am a traditional size 5. First I had Kanyon size 5.5 and Dublin River Boot size 6. I’d read reviews that say the boots are true for or slightly big so I went for a size 5.5 (39) to fit well allowing for walking socks. Even with thick socks the boots are far too big both in the length of the foot and the width of the calf. My Dublin’s are a comfortable with regular calf. I would say that the toe end is slightly narrower than other boots I’ve had. I’m not ordering a replacement pair in smaller size because I think the calf would still be too big but the foot would go too narrow for me. Overall disappointing because I was really looking forward to a decent boot with a good grip.
