Delivered promptly and well packaged. You really will taste the difference. I won't use any other oil. If you have never tried Palestinian Oilve oil before you are really missing out, the flavour is richer than European alternatives and less goes further. It is not so strong as to take over, but I sometimes wish that I could drink it from the bottle. An added bonus is you will be helping people who are talented and yet sometimes struggling. In Palestine, it is not easy to obtain a certified organic product. The reason is the increased price of the product, which relates to the licensing procedure being deemed as a global requirement. This in turn makes the product beyond reach of the poor and those of middle income, leaving it only available for the rich farmers and traders. There was no benefit to the producer to seek the certification, since it wasn't intended for a mass international market. \nNevertheless, Equal Exchange olive oil is grown with organic methods. It makes sense really, olive trees are happy in poor conditions, need no pesticides or fertiliser, and use little water. It would cost more to produce the oil non-organically.\nI have friends in Palestine; I hope. I haven't heard from two of them since their home was bulldozed. They said the same thing. My wife drinks a tablespoon a day for her hair and has used it as a conditioner as monosaturated oils are easily absorbed by hair. \nHowever, the scientific basis for this is limited.
