Excellent pads! Premium performance at a very low price.
This is the second set of Akebono pads I've installed on my cars. These went on my Altima, while the ones installed in September 2013 went on my 2006 Honda Odyssey (fronts). I also put a new set (just now) on the rear Odyssey brakes. While working on the Odyssey, I pulled the front pads off to see how the Akebonos are after two years or so...and about 40,000 miles...of driving. Those miles included pulling our popup trailer, lots of kid carpools, and a 3 day per week commute into the city and back. There was probably 1/8" of wear on those pads - very little wear. The entire time, there's been no squeaking, shuttering, etc., of the brakes.I did check the local auto parts places before ordering the Akebonos this time around. The "OEM Ceramic" pads cost about $75 from the major chain parts stores. These seem like a spectacular deal.

Incorrect parts delivered
I purchased the Akebono ACT815 brake pads for the front wheels of my 2009 Altima 2.5 sedan after checking the compatibility at amazon. The brake pads in the package were incorrect. With each of these brake pads is attached a hook (or squeal bar) that starts making a noise when the pad goes too thin. This part is a necessary part of each brake pad. Each pair of brake pads for a wheel should have opposite facing hooks. However, I did not receive this. All four of my brake pads (i.e. both pairs for the front wheels) had the hooks facing the same side. As a result, when the brake pads were installed, two of them were missing the function of making a noise when the pad goes too thin. I have attached an image of the four Akebono ACT815 brake pads I received with all hooks facing the same side and an image of four brake pads from my local shop with the hooks facing the correct directions for comparison. I have also attached figures of my driver and passenger-side wheels after installing the four Akebono ACT815 brake pads. As the hooks are facing the same direction, the passenger wheel is okay from outside while a spring is hanging out on the outside in the driver wheel. Also (not seen in the images), the driver wheel is okay from inside while a spring is hanging out on the inside in the passenger wheel.I spent around $50 for these pads and another $100 for installation as I did not realize I have been delivered the incorrect pads until they have been installed and I noticed the difference in the brakes of the two front wheels (as you see in the attached images). Stay away from this vendor.

Great break pads for the money! Ordering again after 3 years of extreme driving!
I've installed these pads on my Nissan Altima 2.5s 2010. They lasted for 3 years with extreme braking and many emergency brakes. They are amazing pads. They have a small squeak when reversing, but that's normal for most Ceramic brake pads. They also generate a small squeak when they are hot, but then again, all Ceramic brake pads even the ones installed on performance cars do that. Breaking is excellent, but the first bite isn't that good. Compared to my OEM brake pads for the BMW E70, they are good. The BMW ones are better of course but they only last a year and they generate lots of dust. These brake pads do not. Like not at all!

Perfect for 2012 Nissan Altima
Bought these to alleviate brake squeal on a 2012 Nissan Altima. They worked like a charm, fit perfectly and best of all, no more squeal. I HIGHLY recommend. They also included a fairly substantial shim which is what I was hoping for. These replaced semi metallic pads that only had about 3K miles on them, so didn't have to do anything with the rotors. You will have to push the caliper in slightly as the shim makes the overall pad a little thicker. Not a problem though if you have widemouth pliers. Just a quick squeeze to push the caliper in slightly and I continued on. Great pad, very excited to see how it wears.

Nissan Pads
Owning several Nissan's and never having one ounce of brake squeal I went back to Nissan for Factory OEM Pads. The first week was fine however after that and four visit's back I had the loudest brake squeal you could imagine. Contacted Nissan Consumer affairs and of course they could care less and referred me back to the dealer who also denied there was a problem with the pads. For half the price of OEM Pads I purchased a set of these and had them installed. It immediately solved my brake squeal. I will never purchase another set of OEM Pads and probably will consider my next car from Honda as Nissan and their attitude towards this problem sucked !!!!! Highly suggest these brake pads.

Much better after market pads
I used to get Wagner TQ pads but I noticed they get annoyingly squealy and lose performance after some time so I decided to try a different brand and an old mechanic recommended Akebono. These pads are very affordable, typically quiet, have low dust (darker and more compare to Wagner TQ) and still have good stopping power. I would give them 5 star if they had more stopping power. Also Their stopping power decreases 30-35% when they get to %50. That when the stopping power is not really acceptable. I tried Akebono performance pad and they seem to have more stoppibg power.

Great Product
Bought these break pads for my 2005 Nissan Altima and it worked great. Got rid of the squeak it would make and I am so happy. Well worth the price to do it yourself instead of paying to get it done for an unreasonable price. I have driven around New York, having to make hard stops (because of the crazy traffic and all the crazy things that go on in New York) and nothing has happened. Great product and even looks great too.To match these front break pads i got these back break pads ( Akebono ACT905 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad Set )
