What warranty does it come with please

with the pump is a booklet , the English section is at page 14. Go page 29,, paragraph 4 which will tell you the ''Warranty is for 24 months'' enjoy your pump-------

Would this be ok for a hot tub with a flat hose

I use it in my water butts, transferring water. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work in a hot tub. It's a great machine

Do I need to buy the 4m suction hose as well ?

Only just got mine as well. The unit is meant to sit at the bottom of water butt. Then you need away reconnect it to your garden hose. I think.

why does the float switch only work intermitently

If you move it, it will stop or start it. Once you work out which is which, it’s ok. I use for emptying a pond, it depends what you use it for.
