Won't adhere to wood surfaces
I purchase this to try & reflect natural lighting in our small bar. It's shine but very light reflection. More like poor quality chrome. But it does had a tiniest bit more lighting in dark corners. Advise, we tried to have it adhere to plywood walls. Doesn't work. If you take off the backing paper it gets flimsy & hard to smooth out wrinkles. The second have we put up we left the back paper on. Much easier to work with. (We thumb tacked it on the wall the framed it. It's ok. We weren't expecting a real type mirror effect. It'll do. Just wanted to save others the application problems we had. Won't be buying it again..for wood antway🤗

Remove the clear protective covering to reveal the chrome mirror appearance.
Arrived promptly and looks as shiny and chrome as I hoped for! I'm not too satisfied with the packaging (arrived in a plastic shipping bag, I expected a box) but was not damaged. You need to remove the protective film covering to see the true chrome mirror look it has. This will be great for my next project and will update with new photos of the product in the project!

I changed my mind, my apologies to VViViD.
This is updated from my comment below. After applying the reflective vinyl I've decided that I think it's fair to reassess this product. From my previous comment about the texture and the quality of the reflection this vinyl looks very good and even though it is not chrome looking it still looks fantastic. The only issue I have with it is that it is quite difficult to cut because of the thickness. I do believe that because it is a thicker vinyl and doesn't stretch (as the manufacture claims) it applied very well and heat formed with little struggle, no stretching required. The application was a single helical curve like a propeller that the other cheap vinyl, tho stretch type did not perform as well as the VViViD and the adhesion is superior. It has been in place for about 3 weeks, exterior, rain and sun and several washes and still looks great. I use a cleaner polish that works very well with reflective vinyl except for the cheap stretching type vinyls. I would like to give this product 5 stars but the fact that it is harder to cut in place prevents me from that last ☆I would also say that, I've changed my mind and would/will buy again...I stand corrected. I am leaving my previous comments so that people can read what exactly I was wrong about.Well its certainly not the quality of 3M vinyl but neither is the price. I did a test of the adhesion on a smooth clean surface along side a lesser expensive vinyl. The adhesion of the VViViD was actually inferior to the lesser vinyl and released much easier than the inexpensive vinyl. As to the "mirror" claim of the VViViD Silver Mirror finish I found that due to a slight texture the reflectivity was also less than the inexpensive vinyl. I will still use the VViViD vinyl because the application is slightly obscured, I will not request a refund. By my comments I do not endorse the cheap vinyls out there, the chrome loses its finish quite fast and begins to delaminate and what's under the reflective layer is ugly stuff. In the future I will more than likely NOT buy VViViD products and had 3M made a "mirror chrome" I would not be assessing the VViViD product. Please see photo of the reflectivity of both VViViD on the right and the cheap vinyl on the left in photo, you decide.

TERRIBLE!!!
OMG This is by far the worst product I have ever received from amazon and defiantly the worst product I have ever reviewed, if i was able to give it negative stars i would.1st, the vinyl roll came so tightly rolled up and everybody knows vinyl is not supposed to be rolled up that tight as it takes the shape and memory of how tightly it is rolled up.2nd, the vinyl has striped haze to it running all along the vinyl and not to mention is SCRATTCHED right in the middle of the vinyl roll. this is supposed3rd, the vinyl is wrinkled and as seen in the picture is a complete mess and waste of money. sad to say i should have listened to the other reviews.

went on nice, just looks bad
this was my first foray into vinyl application and I have to say, it went very well. was able to apply the product to a cylindrical tube (telescope) and no bubbles or wrinkles. did not even have to use a hair dryer. the mirror-chrome cast finish was pretty bad however. there were 2 seriously obvious long scratches in the surface going diagonally (before application) and every 2 inches there was a foggy part of the finish where it was quite obvious that the rollers used in the machines that make this stuff were not adjusted correctly and left continuous roller marks across the entire length of the wrap. if this had not been more than a simple experiment, I would have sent the vinyl back as being totally unusable with the horrible finish it had. I certainly won't be ordering any more 'chrome cast' in the future and I wouldn't advise anyone else to either if they want something to look nice and shiny.
