Fabric backs won't protect hands from scratches
The fingers and palms are made from tough rubberized material. There is a plain fabric section on the back which won't offer the same protection if pruning roses, for example. The rubberized material causes the fingers to stick together but overall they give reasonable protection.

Love theses gloves, ideal for not getting nettled also good when the ground is wet keep your hands clean and dry.

Nice gloves, not for brambles
Nice enough gloves, but absolutely no protection against brambles, which is why I bought them. Will be ok for gentle gardening but I need to keep looking for more sturdy protective gloves.

They make it less painful to clear brambles!
Very good gardening gloves. We get brambles in the garden and using these gloves makes it easier to clear. I've only used them a few times but they seem strong and I think they'll last a while. I love the colour too.
