Should have bought this years ago, fantastic piece of kit

A workshop must
Where has this been all my life? Bought this to try and repair a damaged part on a John deere lawnmower. Replacement part cost £83. Did a fantastic job, solid and from the outside repair was virtually invisible. Extremely impressed with this tool. For the price no workshop should be without one, build quality is good and it's a piece of cake to use, highly recommended!

Quick and easy to use and it works too
This saved several hundred pounds in replacement parts so if I.never use it again it was worth buying. The plastic mounting brackets on both headlights had failed in the same place (bad design) and because of the location of the break glueing wouldn't work for long. It took 5 minutes and 5 staples to fix both brackets and I didn't even have to take one of the headlights out to fix it. Very happy.

Great piece of kit.
The media could not be loaded. I have been donated a cement mixer with a poly drum which was badly cracked, more crack than drum to be honest.I have been using the welder to hold it together, then melting the pvc sticks and some cable ties into the crack. I haven’t used it yet because it’s not quite finished.Wish me luck 😁

Must have tool
Bought to repair plastic mudguard, worked a treat but I would recommend going over the staples either by melting surrounding plastic over them or using a dedicated plastic epoxy putty to lock the staples in.

Mr Fix It
Excellent piece of kit with good box and range of staples. The box was difficult to close with ALL the staples in it so removed some and they fitted great. Have been able to fix lots of plastic items rather than recycle/land fill them, giving the plastic items a brand new lease of life. Would definitely recommend.

Great Product.
Easy to use. Value for money so far. Doesn't feel like a cheap item when in your hand when using. Instructions are clear to read. Very quick to heat up and apply the metal stitches to plastic. Happy with this item so far.Bought to repair freezer drawers that had cracked, has done a brilliant job so far.

The wild world of Plastic Surgery (kinda)
Takes a bit of practice - I started with some polypropylene toolboxes (you really gotta know WHAT kind of plastic your working on and get the right plastic rods)If you're just going to use the staples and smooth over the result (without weld rods) you CAN work with what's in the kit, but it helps if you have plastic weld rods for the right type of plastic, and some use metal mesh for maximum strength!(the rods supplied are polypropylene 'PP' - I think!)Theres a generous supply of melt in 'staples', use plentifully around cracked areas, as you develop a feel for getting the staple melted INTO the plastic but not going right THROUGH it (practice on some cheapo items before anything like car bodywork! If its area hands are going to be going in for maintenance you DO need to fill grind or smooth over the sharp edges of the staples, after cutting themSo, can now do rough repairs on my boxes - I'll tackle something more fancy later and maybe leave an extra star - cool tool, requires a bit of skill to use ;)
