Nice jacket - Very Firm- Very Secure feeling
I wanted to come back to this after logging 1000 miles on my VTX 1300. Let me tell you-- For Texas this jacket rock balls. Last weekend I went 300 miles round trip- 86 and sunny. At stops heat from the engine can get a little bothersome but while on the road this air mesh is truly an air mesh. The wind blows through like no other. I will not get on my bike during the summer time without this jacket on.For the cold mornings I did buy a buffalo leather jacket which for warmth was spot on. My Pilot jacket is nice and broke in now and I'm glad I bought it.I added another picture on one of my 300 mile rides on 85+ degree day. Absolutely bad ass jacket.*** UPDATE***I just wanted to give an update on this jacket. I went through my riding course this today and yesterday - 3/4-5. I can tell you it's not a cold weather jacket. Which is fine, I live in Texas, which is why I bought it. (Air mesh- get it?)Let me tell you---This thing provides a solid seal (with liner in) against the rain. Yes unfortunately our last day we spent 2 hours in the pouring down rain with temperatures in the 50's. With a long sleeve thin turtle neck and a pull over non-hooded fleece under this jacket I was kept dry as can be. I was warm underneath the Jacket and most importantly DRY !!! . This jacket must of weighed close to 8-9 pounds after the riding course today. It is hanging on the hanger to dry as I type. The only area's that were wet were the wrist of my long sleeve undergarment shirt only because I don't yet have my riding gloves that go over the Velcro strapped wrist cuff on the jacket and my neck due to the turtle neck coming above the neoprene collar seal on the jacket.. I now know without a doubt during the Texas heat this jacket will serve me well. With a sleeveless dri-tech underneath. No worries. I'm now licensed- (Again after 20 years- 20 previous years experience) Could not of bought a better jacket - -Its also clearly visible with the lime green markings. A perfect 5 of 5 stars for what I need it for. - If you live in a cold weather state- you could always buy bigger size and wear undergarments. My jacket fits snug just the way I rode today and that's fine with me.For your amusement I have attached some pictures.Nice jacket. But for a guy like me with a belly, jacket barely covers the Beltline. (And that's on me not pilot) I'll fix that issue on my own. Shoulders and chest are roomy but firm. Built in armor is very nice and feels great. This jacket looks sharp. I feel very secure wearing this jacket. I want to elaborate here now that I am on my computer. I came back to give a 5 star review. The reflective strips and green high visibility are crucial factors for me in determining the style. I was more than impressed when I got the jacket. It weights literally about 5 pounds. Which to me is a good thing. This is with the armor plate in the back. I have only experimented with taking the liner out which gives a "little" more room but jacket still stays true to body form. The collar is neoprene and makes a tight seal when jacket is zipped up to the neck. Also has a nice quality rubber latch in the front up top that Velcro's across the zipper as it's zipped up to prevent it from unzipping. The lower side straps are elastic and are adjustable by way of Velcro straps. In my case I expand them to the max. This is the kind of jacket you want to ride with. It is not the kind of jacket if you are looking to use it to look cool and wear it to the local establishments or what not. I grew up on a bike and in those days they didn't make jackets like this. I settled for the Wilson (All leather) redline racing jacket which was nice, very nice but also very hot in this Texas heat. (It was fine for Northern California, however) I have yet to ride in this jacket because I have to pick up my bike Tuesday 3/8/17. I'm confident I'll not only be riding in style, but well protected and looking sharp.I also want to give props to Pilot customer service for reading my original review and contacting me to ask if I wanted to upsize or perhaps try another model jacket. The gesture was indeed appreciated but I liked this jacket - looks, feel, secure when wearing I that it is more worth it to me to keep it and try to lose 3 inches off my gut. I've dropped 2% body fat the last 2 months so by summer I should be a little better off in that category. Not to mention I am out the door as I type with this jacket to get my class M endorsement. Gonna be the rock star of the class this weekend!!

I recommend this jacket it just does not fit me.
I honestly really like the jacket but the fit was wrong for me so I can't wear it.I am normally a medium/large and the large is too small for me.I can only fit it on when I wear just a Tshirt underneath and I regularly need to wear long sleeve shirts underneath the jacket.I am 200 lbs and 5'10'' with an athletic build. The jacket has 8 pockets which is a huge plus when needing to carry stuff with me.The jacket has tightening snaps on the arms in two places as well as velcro tightening for the waist. This jacket also does not scratch your neck when wearing it as the collar is a soft material and feels very nice to wear.

Size Up no matter what anyone tells you.
Start by saying, I'm 6'2" 215lbs with a 42" chest. I went with XL Large and it fits perfect! I live in the midwest and needed a summer jacket instead of leather for the hot weather. First week I had the jacket the morning temps where around 55 degrees. With the liner in, it kept me warm enough. Later in the week got a chance to test it in light rain, warm and dry. Love the neck/collar strap, keeps the rain and wind out.The weight of the jacket is less than my leather but still has some weight to it. If I ever hit the ground again, this should protect me as well as my leather. Has 2 outer hand pockets, maybe your girlfriend or kid can use them. They are deep enough, you just have a VERY hard time putting anything more than your fingers in them.So how is it in the heat? Temps in the mid 90's here in Missouri and without the liner and anything above 5mph and the jacket felt great and moved the air better than my free flow helmet. It's been a couple of weeks and I'd say the jacket is a success for a 3 seasons. The price cannot be beat, great fit and look.

A Great Warm Weather MESH Jacket that fits true to size
I wear XXL for most of my jackets and shirts and this jacket was true to size. This is a MESH jack for warm weather so that you get the air and the protection in warm weather. The liner is a RAIN liner and not intended to keep you warm in cool temperatures though it could provide some warmth on cool windy days like a wind-breaker jacket would. MESH jackets are intended to give you protection in warm weather when it's just too warm to wear a regular motorcycle jacket.I have a couple of MESH jackets already but I purchased this jacket because of the black chest area yet it has the bright yellow in areas that are most exposed to the people around you. The black chest area means it won't reflect the yellow in my GPS screen in bright light so I can still see the screen. This jacket does just that making it perfectly designed for what I was looking for and fits great.

3 Years in, second Pilot jacket and I wouldn't change a thing
I've had three jackets so far and two have been Pilots. I'm to the point now that I just hope they don't stop making them any time soon. I've had this jacket I'm reviewing for 2 years. I regularly ride with:- Cell Phone- Work keycard- Loose change for tolls- State inspection card- Insurance card- Wallet- Garage door openerThis jacket is the only one that has achieved the task of carrying all that *without feeling overloaded*. I ride at least a couple times a week, and this year I've ridden every day that it hasn't rained. I don't ride with the interior liner as I usually put the bike up around November and get it back out early March. The jacket is still in like-new condition, and I still trust it to protect me in a crash. I have the silver jacket and I think the design looks great for a jacket that can fit all tastes. I also appreciate that Pilot doesn't excessively brand their jackets, as I don't want to be a walking logo for your product. In fact, because they have minimal (and appropriate) branding, and considering my experiences with them, I'm happy to go out of my way to recommend their products to any who will listen. This is a solid jacket at a very comfortable price point with the features and looks that are there when you need them but fade to the back of your mind when you don't so you can relax and experience the ride.

Very Impressed
I had no experience with this type of jacket and bought it on the recommendation of my nephew. It's great! Fits perfectly and performs exactly as promised. With the liner in it's wind and waterproof, take the liner out and it can be worn on an 85 degree day with no overheating issues. Also love the Hi Vis.
