Heart Horse 3M 12V 140Amp Split Charge Relay Kit with LED Display

The kit arrived with all components as described. Relay, ready-finished cables cut to length, fuse holders & fuses, screws, cable ties, etc. Installation was easy, my only observation was the enclosed leaflet/instructions doesn’t show installation of fuses to each battery, so be sure to follow the wiring diagram shown on the web advert. All worked well first time.

Super easy to install, watched a couple of YouTube videos and done it myself with in the hour.

I installed this item, it was faulty & drained my starter battery. Should have been a simple replacement from our other split relay charger that lasted for years (not this brand). Unfortunately I installed it past the return date, so now I'm stuck with a drained starter battery & a faulty split relay kit.

Easy to install. All the parts you should need... but if your vehicle battery is in the engine bay (not in the cab/under a seat) you might need a bit more red cable. (I fitted to VW T5 and just had enough red cable. How I fitted to VW T5: Starting at the battery under the bonnet. I routed the red cable thru a rubber grommet under left (passenger) side of the windscreen scuttle panel. Then routed it under the carpet covering the wheel arch. Then under the plastic step and mounted the charger box to the plastic step in the passenger side door opening. Then located the leisure battery behind the passenger seat with cables from the charger box routed under the carpet... I hope this helps someone, otherwise I've just wasted 4 mins of my life.

Descent product and works well. Does the Job

After installation, the wattage to my 2nd battery increased significantly (faster charge). Plus, a second auxiliary battery also charges efficiently at up to 128 watts. That has been a wonderful surprise. Starter battery seems unaffected (that is, charges normally). Very impressive current isolation. The package is admirably kitted with extra terminals, connectors, either isolating or through. If your additional battery is not sited within 10 feet (3M), you will need additional current gauge wire (1 wire - hot). I needed another 3M to get to the other side of my truck and back to the pickup bed. I used one of the connectors supplied in the kit between the supplied hot and my extension. Heavy duty terminals were supplied in the kit. Ensure that your aux battery to ground is good. My first attempt was faulty, causing an hour of continuity debugging to find the issue. All in all this product works well. So far (2 weeks service) I’m loving the faster charge rates to both aux batteries and no affect to my starter charge.
