No Problems
I've had a long line of Bose earphones/headphones and never had a problem. I was reading reviews (I always go to the bad reviews first) and really couldn't relate to the experiences. I've had every model of wireless Bose earbuds and think that they've got better and better. If you're not bothered about the immersive listening - then look for a pair of last year's QCII model, because I think that is the only difference. The fitting is a bit of a challenge initially, there is a bit of trial and error in getting both bits of silicon to fit just right. But it is worth persevering because that's where you'll get the optimum comfort and noise cancellation - once this is done you are set for good. The key reason I have persisted with Bose is largely comfort - I think that the silicon tips in all Bose earphones sets them apart before we even get to sound. Pairing with an iPhone and the app is pretty straight forward - although sometimes you are paired - you can see it on your phone's Bluetooth connections and you can hear fine, but the app doesn't think you're connected. But it seems to sort itself out. The sound I think is as good as any buds I've tried, I also own Airpod Pros and Sony's media darling WF 1000XM4. Both quite similar in sound - but not as comfortable - especially for long spells of use - and especially the Sonys which I find quite heavy. I've not suffered from any white noise or interference on sound. Through the app you can tweak the EQ to your taste - I've found that it is really not worth the bother. On to the Immersive Audio - this is the big change from the previous model. It's far from necessary but when it works well - it is very effective. I've largely been using Apple lossless and the results vary a bit. More recent releases like say Billie Eilish sound fantastic - genuinely immersive. On rock, where it works well you get a clarity and separation that unveils hitherto unheard details. Overall I like it and think it's a decent - if not entirely essential - enhancement. I do listen to most music with Immersion on - so I guess that says something. The only real niggle I have is the lack of wireless charging. Which you can have for £50 in the form of a silicon case on top of the supplied case. Overall these remain the buds to beat for me.

Excellent
I have had the Bose Sports buds but accidentally lost one so had to purchase a new pair of earphones. I absolutely loved those and thought they couldn't be beaten but these outdo it with sound. The bass is just enough, not as much as the sport buds but the sound is much clearer and I prefer it. They also stay in my ear better than the sport buds and they have no ear hook. The sound cancelling is mint, I pop these in even when studying without music and drowns the background completely out so highly recommend for that. The 'aware' option is also good and helpful when walking so you're alert to traffic. Comfort is good, have them in for hours and don't feel them in. The only downside is the in-call quality. I wouldn't purchase these if it was mainly for that use. It's hard to hear when they're in and quite sketchy for the price. However if it is for sound and pleasure I absolutely recommend these earbuds!

Great sound but let down by a few nights niggles
I bought these after my Sony earbuds failed just outside the warranty period, they had a lot to live up to after experiencing the superb Sony noise cancellation features, although I found the Sony earbuds were too easy to fall out. The Bose buds fit perfectly with the extra rubber tab 'locking' them into the ear. The Bose buds have a great richness to the sound which in my opinion is superior to the Sony buds but there's a few issues that could possibly be rectified through firmware updates. One issue that can't be sorted by an update is the design of the buds when sitting in the charging case - I have large fat fingers and find it difficult to get the buds out of the case, it's almost impossible when wearing gloves and I often find I'm dropping them when trying to get them out. Another annoyance with the case is that there appears to be no way to know what the current battery level is, even in the app. The only way I know if the case is fully discharged is when the buds fail to recharge, the Sony buds gives the battery percentage in the associated app. I wear these buds most days while walking outside and through the long wet winter we have just experienced found them unusable when wearing them with the hood up on my waterproof coat - the reason being that they constantly stop or start everytime the hood touched the earbuds, a quick option to temporarily cease the touch controls on the app would solve this. Finally and the biggest annoyance I experience with these buds is the poor recognition of the touch function on the buds and lack of any feedback when tapping the earbuds. There is no audible feedback (like on the Sony buds) meaning one has no idea if a tap has been registered and it seems that the tap is not recorded more often than it is. So I end up multiple tapping to try to stop or start the playback as nothing happens, only to find that the phone has lost signal or isn't responding due to another reason. I also end up skipping tracks with multiple taps when trying to just pause or restart a track - a simple beep to acknowledge the tap has been registered would make so much difference. The Bose noise cancellation works reasonably well but the 'aware' setting still doesn't let enough external sound through in my experience, with the Sony buds I could pause the sound and hold a reasonable conversation with someone stood next to me, with the Bose I still need to remove them to be able to hear the person fully. In summary the quality of the sound is great (I listen more to speech radio than music), but the usability of the Bose earbuds let's them down enough that without improvement I wouldn't buy them again. These might seem like minor usability issues but if I were to replace these buds tomorrow then I would buy Sony, not Bose. Update, July 2024 - I've downgraded my review to a one star as despite the quality of the sound these buds deliver, it's of no use of they can't be controlled. The 'tap' to pause/restart is an absolute joke, you never know why the audio hasn't stopped or restarted as there's no audible confirmation of the gesture - so you end up having to get the phone out of your pocket. Even worse you then tap again thinking the gesture hasn't been recognised and end up skipping forward a track. I'm now seriously considering binning these buds die to their unusability and purchasing a different brand. Such a shame as I've been a long term Bose user - no longer. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Amazing product, well worth the money
Bought these in July 2024, have just bought again as one of the earbuds had physically broken. No fault of the make nor the design, instead I dropped them. The sound quality it arguably superior to the Airpods and battery undoubtedly miles better. A single charge and these last six hours. As someone who works in a loud warehouse for 12 hour shifts, they are amazing as I charge them over lunch and they are ready to go again. The adaptability and customisation of the attachments to help the fit is impeccable as I struggled to find in ear headphones that fit. They are comfortable, have never given me the earache that other earphones did and are easy to clean. Sure, occasionally there is an issue with the sound cutting out but it's so sporadic and all you have to do is pop the earphones back into the case and go again. Really easy to use and pair and I love the fact you can customise the sound in the app. 10/10 product

Defective
I initially connected this to the Bose app and subsequently got connection into one ear on my phone. Then I lost connection and couldn't reconnect to to the Bose app or my phone. Spent some time with a Bose technician who couldn't troubleshoot the problem. They agreed to replace the earbuds upon return which could take up to 3 weeks. All a bit of a pain really.... Update. Big up to Bose Customer Services who sent an (upgraded ) replacement pair after just 7 days Ok I been using these for a couple of weeks now so it's time to review. Firstly I bought these to cancel out the bone-vibratingly loud rubbish music played a my gym and in this respect they have been a success and as good as if not better than my over ear QC 45's. The sound quality is decent enough for my needs not being a music technogeek. The set up is easy enough and there are a, more than necessary amount of sound and other options. After a lot of experimentation with the ear tips and wings I finally found a combination I am happy with. The only downside for me was the option to link to 2 devices at once. I chose the TV and my phone. However if I was watching the TV and decided to check my phone the TV sound would immediately cut out and only resume several seconds later. If I touched my earbuds inadvertantly the music app on my phone would kick and wouldn't stop until disabled I've disabled this function now. All in all for someone who really only wanted the 'world class' noise cancelling I'm pretty happy

Game changer. Pure Silence and Perfect Sound
I've finally found the perfect balance of comfort, sound quality, and unparalleled noise cancellation with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. Five stars simply don't do these justice—they are truly in a league of their own. Design & Comfort: Forget You're Wearing Them Bose absolutely nailed the design and fit. These earbuds are incredibly light and extremely comfortable, even during long listening sessions. I can wear them for hours without any ear fatigue, which is a massive win. They also look good—sleek, modern, and high-quality, exactly what you expect from Bose. “The Gold Standard of Noise Cancelling” The primary reason to buy these is the excellent noise cancelling, and it delivers. It's the best I've ever experienced in an earbud format. They create a pocket of absolute silence that completely melts away the sounds of a busy commute, a noisy office, or a flight. It's truly transformative. Acoustic Brilliance and Versatile Modes The listening experience is nothing short of amazing. The audio sounds amazing—rich, detailed, and perfectly balanced, making every song feel like a private concert. What really sets the QC Ultra apart is the incredible versatility of its modes, transitioning seamlessly from "Aware" to "Immersion." The Aware mode lets you stay connected to your surroundings without taking the earbuds out, while the Immersion mode combines that legendary noise cancellation with spatialized audio, creating a soundstage that makes you feel utterly enveloped in your music. If you’re looking for premium earbuds that offer unmatched comfort and industry-leading performance, look no further. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra is the only choice.

Not great
1 YEAR UPDATE: new replacement product, slight improvements… As my initial review below stated, I wasn’t particularly pleased with these earbuds but I stuck with them. At the turn of the year (having now owned these for approx. 8-9 months) one of the earbuds stopped connecting for no apparent reason. Credit to Bose, I contacted them on their online support, and we ran through all the various factory reset options, and managed to get it working again. Alas 24hrs later I was back to where I was and after I tried these troubleshooting steps again they had given up the ghost. Bose however were very helpful and as my product was still covered by warranty, they sent me a label and I returned the earbuds to be sent a new pair a couple of weeks later. The subsequent earbuds have had the odd issue, but (touch wood) have been better. I’m not sure if Bose have made any physical or software changes to them, or if the first batches they made were awful, but these seem to be much better. I’ve left my score at 3/5 because when they work, they are brilliant, but for a new product to go to market and have so many customers complain about the same issues is really poor. One other update… the main thing than annoys me still is them popping out slightly. I seem to be constantly re-twisting them back into my ear canal, but when you touch them it activates the controls on them to stop the music, or alter the listening experience!!! It is so infuriating… I wish I could lock this off in the app or similar, when I am working out I set a playlist or listen to a mix, so I don’t need to alter this at all, so for me this is a feature that needs to be added, but could just be me… either way, my ears apparently aren’t the right fit for these, which is a shame because they apparently they were for decades before on other Bose products. ORIGINAL POST: I have owned a variety of Bose headphones over the years, but my favourites by far were the Bose Soundsport Bluetooth Wired headphones. So much so I had two pairs which lasted ages and when I heard they were going to discontinue them I bought one last pair so I could have a set for another few years. I used these headphones mostly down the gym, running, rowing, or even at work as a gardener, so it is safe to say I lead an active lifestyle, but most importantly I want a set of headphones that are durable, sound great, comfortable and also fit perfectly so that despite moving around they do not pop out at the slightest moment. So when my beloved last pair of soundsport gave up the ghost a few weeks ago I figured it was time to look around at the options and figured that because I was so impressed with how the last set of Bose headphones I owned, I would trust them again and go with their latest set of earphones. After owning them for two weeks and giving them a good trial they are not up to standard, but come at a much higher price also. Let’s start with the app which you need to download to get connected and also change the various settings. At first it looks very glossy and lots of cool gadgets, but as other reviewers have stated it is a little glitchy and after only a few minutes it crashed on me and wouldn’t connect. (NB I have the latest software update on my phone so it is not like I haven’t the latest version to work alongside the app). Secondly the sound. The immersive sound is very impressive and it has three settings; the first to leave as is per the recording, the second if you are to sit still the sound stays very central in your head, and the third, movement which allows you to move your head around and be active and the sound follows you around, it really is very impressive. But… I found at times it cuts out returning you to the off setting which jolts you back to a different sound and feel and then returns a second or two later thus resulting in this very odd and uncomfortable listening experience as it reverts back and forth. Next up the fit. And this is the worst of the lot. As I said before, having had the Bose Soundsport headphones, and yes they are larger in comparison for in-the-ear headphones to these, but the fit is magnificent. These come with three different fittings, and I have tried all three and a cross variety of the three because I am aware that my ears might be ever so slightly different in shape/size by the slightest millimetre and so it is worth trying to figure out what is best for you. I tried all of these and despite this the fit just didn’t feel quite right. When out running they jump ever so slightly in the ear but because of the noise cancelling features it sounds like someone is jabbing something in your ear, like a ‘thud, thud, thud’ with every step you take. The disappointment I have for these is overwhelming, especially at the premium price. I don’t know how Bose can make something that is worse than a previous product and get it so so wrong. I guess if you are sat at a desk or sitting at home listening to music these might be good, but I just want a pair of headphones that are designed for exercise and aren’t a set of cans to put over your head, but have the listening experience to boot. I will most certainly persevere with these, mostly because I have to now having spent a small fortune on these, but they are a huge disappointment based on previous headphones bought by Bose.

Terrible for Bose.
I’ll start with the good points, the sound when you’re in a quiet place is great, fit is very comfortable once you find the right sizes to use for you , so they can have 2 stars for that… Finding the right fit can take a couple of tries, I recommend not just shaking your head but run for 50 meters and you will know if they are right. The rest is very poor, I have Bose NC 700 on ear headphones and they are amazing, so the performance of these is very disappointing. First the connectivity is shocking. Bang on one hour into first use they just disconnected from my iPhone 15 less than 1 meter away, then struggled to reconnect. This set the theme for them. Over several uses they often failed to detect being placed in ear, failed to connect, disconnected, one would connect independently of the other. Reconnecting was always an issue. Frequent disconnects within the app that also seemed to confuse the app as the phone was still connected to them. I updated to the latest software to check that wasn’t an issue, problems persisted. On the update front, to update they must be kept out of the case while it VERY slowly transfers the update. Putting them in the case didn't suspend the update but cancelled it and caused the transfer to start from scratch. The transfer also failed a couple of times, again restarting a 1~ transfer time. There is no battery level indicator for the case in the app. Noise cancellation initially sounds good for at home use, until you realise that when you aren’t playing any audio, there is this constant static/white noise sound coming from them, even in a quiet room. Take them to the gym and they can’t handle noise from clanging weights, it doesn’t just get through, it seems to confuse the headphones. Causing a range of actions from replying the high pitch into the ear louder, through to completely stopping all sound including playback for a second. Wind resistance is terrible, they can’t handle cancelling out the sound of wind at all, actively replaying wind noise into your ears. “Aware mode” suffers too, sometimes muffling speech of others initially so you miss the first words of a sentence, despite other sounds passing through fine at the same time. When speech does come through, it's really robotic/tinny in sound, not realistic at all. “Immersive mode”, one of the things Bose seems so proud of, on a couple of occasions left a strange effect when changing between modes. The music remained “fixed” to an arbitrary location, not reverting to stereo. This couldn't be fixed by turning your head in that direction, I had to cycle back around through the modes. The touch sensitive controls work well until you get into the gym, moving your arm too close to your ear will affect them. Also be prepared for them to trigger if you adjust the headphone’s position in the ear. The colour, Amazon describes them was "white", Bose describes them as "White smoke", they are much whiter in the pictures than in real life. They are a light grey, not white. The build quality of the charging case is shocking for the price range. Feels like my £30 back up headphones. It’s a horrible cheap feeling plastic, feels like it would crack very easily if dropped. The hinge is so loose the top can be twisted far beyond what you would expect from a quality product, it also feels like it would easily break off if dropped even slightly. The closing and opening feels cheap too. I got these in the sale at £220. They certainly aren’t a £300 pair of headphones, they aren’t a £100 pair. I’d be frustrated but unsurprised at the £50 mark. I got these because I had two pairs of AirPod Pros go distorted in 3 years, the first pair replaced under warranty. But they never had any of these problems! My AirPod Pro's noise cancelling, pass through and connectivity were always on point, showing it can be done with small ear buds. Bose just seems to have failed to make a good product. Refund started, I’ll spend the money on some new AirPod Pro 2’s and just bite the eternal Care Plan cost to cover any distortion. (Update) AirPod Pro 2s are equal in sound quality to me as an average user, also about equal on comfort, but far superior in every other measure in this review.

About as enjoyable as earbuds can get. Amazing.
These are the first Bose product I've really liked...for context I'm not into reference , I enjoy gentle colour and soundstage. I love space and natural bass. Bose sound sport were disappointing, and Yamaha, Apple, Samsung earbuds all sounded small and narrow. Not these. Just in stereo mode these recreate well separated clear instrumentation across electronica, classic, EDM , jazz and rock...detailed and rich bass, pleasant minds and detailed highs that only get slightly shouty at full volumes... but far out the immersive mode.....what kind of technowizardry is this? The separation starts to stray into the territory you get with decent DACs. Whilst obviously not 100% accurate it's so dam nice and moreish everything from Max Braiman to Liz Frazer to Wagner to System of a Down were injected with a space and size and shine and I smiled so hard it squeezed them out of my ears..one tip adjustment later and a grin couldn't displace them. In all honesty if you want peak quality wirelessly you need over ears ( Shure are the most musical to me) BUT if you want small form discretion and convenience ( plus the best noise cancelling period) I heartily recommend these. Convenience wise the app downloaded easily after they earbuds found my phone and linked up effortlessly. I'm no Bose fanboy, but these are massively worth the extra expense. You get what you pay for with these... Consider me amazed.

Outstanding Noise‑Cancelling Earbuds
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise‑Cancelling Bluetooth Earbuds deliver an outstanding listening experience, exactly what you’d expect from a flagship Bose product. The noise cancellation is powerful and immersive, making music, calls, and podcasts feel incredibly clear even in busy environments. The sound profile is rich, balanced, and detailed, with deep bass that doesn’t overpower the mids or highs. Comfort is another major win. The earbuds sit securely without causing pressure, making them ideal for long listening sessions, commuting, or travel. Connectivity is seamless, and the build quality feels premium and durable. If you’re looking for earbuds that combine luxury comfort, superb noise cancellation, and exceptional sound quality, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra is an excellent choice — a true upgrade for anyone who values high‑end audio.

Bose Noise cancelling earbuds
Excellent noise cancelling earbuds. It come s with different sizes of earpiece to make sure you can find one that is working/comfortable for you. I used to have a different brand earbuds but it kept falling out while I was doing my morning walk. Bose earbuds stayed there the whole way. Sound is great too.
