GH 10' X 10' Gazebo Replacement Canopy Top Cover - Beige, Double-teir

We've had a 10x10 gazebo on our dock for about 25 years. We remove the whole top every fall but we're in the northeast and get pretty harsh weather extremes so covers last only one or two summers. Needless to say - we've bought our share of replacement covers over the years! Some were too tight and we'd only be able to get 3 of 4 corners on. It looked like 50YO me trying to fit into 20YO me's jeans. Others were too loose and puddled and sagged every time it rained. That also too closely resembled 50YO me but I'll spare you the visual. Another fit fine but we had to bring it to a seamstress to reinforce the straps with another layer of fabric because they would tear out in the slightest breeze. The last one we bought was a bear to get on. We had a bit of wind and the next morning one whole section was tattered and flapping like a flag in the wind. We were resigned to never finding the right cover, but this one turned out to be the Goldilocks. It was just right! The measurements given actually matched the cover we received. Seems like a no-brainer, but we've been burned before. My husband was able to install this cover by himself without a single expletive! He said the fabric seemed thicker and sturdier than other covers. There are sufficient tie downs and they seem to be sewn in well. It billows in the breeze as it should - no flapping. It doesn't sag in the rain and there's no puddling water. There's a little excess fabric for the small top panel, but it doesn't cause any problems and is way better than being too tight. We've had it up for a full month now, have had several storms and it's still standing strong. I'll update the review if anything changes.

The overall fit was perfect for my 10x10 frame. I was very pleased with the quality of the Velcro used to attach it to the frame. The material seems to be of good quality as well. In my past experience though with all canopy tops no matter the material (this is my third one) you must take them off for storage for the winter for a little longer life span. The only con I have is the top part for the double tier is too large for my frame. It does not fit tight and just lays on top. The top tier on my frame measures about 5 inches tall. For the top tier of the canopy to fully extend, according to my measurements, the top of the frame should at least be 10 inches tall. The mosquito netting that is zippered to top tier would be excellent if it was fully extended on my frame.

I'd read all the reviews with criticisms, and I don't really get it. Easily fit my gazebo, no problem. The only drawback I see is that, yes, in heavy winds, a corner or two may scoot up, but this should easily be fixed with a dime store Velcro set and glue if need be. I haven't seen the need to do that yet. Love the color, and the fact that it is NOT stretched taught like a trampoline....gives a softer 'look' with some give to it. The previous cover was a replacement direct from the manufacturer, and I think we only got 2 summers out of it, so it was a big disappointment for the price.

I have had my gazebo for over a decade and, of course, from time to time I need to replace the cover. I bought this cover the first time about 4 or 5 years ago and it was the most amazing cover I have ever had. It had mesh sewn to the top of the main canopy that zipped to connect to the small top canopy. (I searched my previous orders and clicked buy again) I just put on the one I bought last year and let me tell you, I’ll be impressed if it survives its first rain, much less storm. The Velcro on the corners is too short to accommodate my side rails, there is no screen of any kind between the upper and lower canopies, and the upper canopy is held on by a corner of elastic forming a small pocket. It may as well be held by a wish. I am disappointed in the design of this product that I thought was the same as the one that the sudden storm took out last year. I would suggest keeping looking. I will say it is the correct size and fits well so if you live in an area that receives no wind and you are never ever belchy or flatulent then this may be the right product for you.

My husband loves this. It has the extra part at the top that doesn't fit our design, but it doesn't prevent it from working, and we didn't expect perfection. We were so happy to find these at such a great price. Our gazebo frame had extensions on each corner of about a foot, we took advice from someone else and sawed these off to make it fit. Works great. Before we found this I thought the only alternative was to make one myself. So happy that didn't have to happen.

Feb '16 update. I've concluded you really are better off getting one specifically made for your gazebo. I've had this seven months and all in all it serves the purpose but the loose fit resulted in rain collecting between the drain grommets and making the canopy sag to the point it pulled off the edges. I've had some wind and this lifts the corners off and I've already had one of the velcro straps pull off. This one is only a couple inches big on each side but that's enough to cause problems. I'm replacing the top on a discontinued JCP model that lasted five years until the sun ate it. This one appears decent but the fabric is lighter than what I had but for sixty bucks shipped not complaining. The old one had better Velcro, three-inch wide wraps with a 'fluffier' Velcro. This one has tape about an inch wide. It does have reinforcing patches where the tape attaches to the canopy and chafe patches on the corners and peak which is an improvement. One nice feature is the bellows top is connected to the main canopy with a zipper. My old one had velcro tape and this was the first failure from the constant tugging of the wind. Many of the posts are concerned about the size. My frame is 117 1/4" from the out to out and this is a bit loose. If your frame is an actual 10 x 10 you will have a bit of pull to install but it will fit better. Mine has enough slack where the wind might billow and snap it, causing wear but that remains to be seen. I asked a question and got prompt and thorough replies. Don't be afraid to ask. UPDATED 7-19-15. OK, the loose fit wasn't bad and made for an easy install. We had heavy rains and even with four grommets to drain, the loose fit made pockets all around that held about a half gallon each and pulled the fringe up over the metal frame. I posted my dimensions for a JCP frame and guess I had 2-3 inches of extra material. I have two gazebos side by side and the old JCP one, though fragile from sun damage is still tight and didn't collect much of anything in water. I had to go out and dump the water out of the loose new one twice yesterday. This comes with no instructions so here's how. Unpack, unfold, remove the cupola by unzipping (another improvement from the JCP with a Velcro tape to hold the screen down) Spread the canopy out behind the canopy with the outside up. Enlist help and take two corners and pull up over the frame. Continue pulling and guiding the canopy up and over. once laying on the frame, pull down a corner and loosely fasten the two corner tapes to keep it from pulling off. At this point its just like a fitted sheet. Get up on a ladder and start the zipper, working your way around. Its easy and the worst part is moving the ladders around. Remove and replace-45 min tops. Will update as required. I have two gazebos side to side so I better order another one before I forget how to install. UPDATE: I put the dimensions of my gazebo above and have concluded this is just a hairtoo loose. Couple of times the corner has come up in the wind but the price was right. The material is lighter than my remaining one. A considerable amount of light comes through and the old one, even five years old is almost opaque (but its so sun damaged I don't dare touch it. The old one had much bigger hold downs and velcro but they may have been overkill. Vendor also enclosed a sheet recommending use of a sun protectant spray like 303 or 3M. I too recommend the use. I'm sure it helped my old ones through a couple more seasons. It has to go on clean material and a spray bottle will adequately cover a single gazebo. The protectants are available here on Amazon.

Unfortunately, I will not be repurchasing. A necessary component to this gazebo canopy top was the drainage holes. Without the included design of the drainage holes, it caused the canopy top to stretch and ultimately diminished the visual appeal. In addition to the unappealing look, it diminishes the value of the product at an accelerated rate. It is economically nonsensical to purchase from this seller when there are many MANY other sellers who hold up to their descriptions. As for the 'double-tier', the 'second' tier which is placed at the midpoint and maximum height of the gazebo is misshaped. I'll assume other customers with a 10' x10' gazebo will have a perfectly square 'second-tier' as do I. It is not a perfect square and there are only two velcro components which strap the 'second-tier' into place, but the two very weak velcro straps do not do the job when it comes to stabilizing the tier. Overall, I would not recommend someone spend over $50 on a falsely advertised gazebo top.

We bought this replacement cover after our original cover lost its integrity and tore in multiple places after two years. When it arrived, I was initially disappointed because the color was so light and it seemed flimsy. However, it has been up since early June - about 2.5 months - and it has kept its shape and shows no sign of tearing. We have had some mighty mighty winds and it has stayed in place. One thing we have learned about these canopy covers is how important it is to push the water off of the top and sides after it rains. Otherwise, the rain pools in gullies and creates sagging and stretching and staining.
