Kidney infections develop when bacteria from the bladder travels up the kidneys, this can happen when you have cystitis, although most people who have cystitis will not get a kidney infection. A kidney infection that develops without a bladder infection can be caused by kidney stones or a blockage in one of the ureters. Occasionally bacteria can reach the kidneys from the bloodstream It is recommended that you take this test if you are suffering from fluid retention, high blood pressure, blood in the urine, frequent urination, difficulty urinating or a reduced volume of urine during urination, fatigue, lack of appetite, nausea, or soreness in the waist or lower back area, as these are signs of kidney disease.

Accurate and easy to use
This product arrived early. Instructions were clear and dip stick was easy to read and interpret. Use to check kidney function between Dr appt as have had high blood pressure for over 30 years. Started in late 20s. This test gives me reassurance with my efforts to make sure my kidney function stays stable. Have verified results against drs lab results.
