MMTR-01 Premium Outside Micrometer with Carbide Tip 0-1" Measuring Range 0.0001" Graduation Precision Machinist Tool

I use these a lot at work. Precise & far smoother than the SPI garbage my boss usually buys for other work cells. I usually use them for measuring engine lifter dimensions off a cnc lathe that does not hold tolerance all that well. So my smooth Clockwise mic can check them far faster than most in the shop. Just keep them clean & in the case when not in use.

Works well. Etched numbers. Calibration standards are NOT included. The case is flimsy. The dividers inside were broken and the micrometer was floating. Cut my own insert out of foam to solve this issue.

It measures to 1,000th of an inch, and seems accurate for my application. The price is fair. Maybe it could be easier to read, but I don't know how that could be done. So all in all, it's a good tool. At least I don't have to worry about batteries!

Honestly, because it was so inexpensive I was not expecting much but I was delighted to find that it was actually a quality instrument. No instructions but given that its a standard, old school design, it wasnt a big problem. It would have been helpful had they included instructions for zeroing it.

May not be top name brand, but they are accurate. My son is getting into the business and so cost is as important as function. Got both with these.

i am becoming quite a fan of clockwise tools . this is my third purchase and i am very pleased with the product. it is well made, calibration is right on the money.

Works well. Reads to nearest 1/10,000 of an inch. I use it to measure parts under 1 inch in diameter that I'm turning on my lathe.

I have used these tools on three engine builds. They seem to me to be quality units and are very easy to read.
