It works. What more can I say? Yes, I did have it leak out all the water one day. The rest of the time (6 months) it works fine. Even in sub-freezing weather. I have two bottles, so I give the rabbit a fresh one in the morning that is not frozen, and take the frozen one inside to thaw until the next morning. If it's above freezing all day I don't have to put out a fresh one until the next day. The other one is only 16 oz. so it's not quite enough to last for a full 24 hours, but it's good enough. This one goes down a little more than half by the next morning. I have two really big ones, 64 oz. bottles, but I still have to trade them out every day in freezing weather, so it really doesn't matter. The rabbit has 10 babies to feed, so she drinks more now than usual. The little "rubber ducky" is cute, but I can't really see it when there's water in it, so it really doesn't add anything to its ease of use.

I really like that this bottle is clear and you can easily see the little duck from a distance so I know when my hamster, Fatty, needs more water. This is the perfect hamster water bottle and at $5.69 it’s a great price with Prime shipping. This is the cheapest price I found online! ~Remember the bottle will not stop dripping while you hold it because your hand actually puts a slight pressure on the bottle...it doesn't usually stop dripping until you hang it on a cage or carrier. ~BE SURE THE METAL SPRING ATTACHMENT (HANGS WATER BOTTLE ON CAGE) ISN’T TOO TIGHT OR SQUEEZING THE WATER BOTTLE MAKING IT DRIP! ~The first little drips are the first release of water created as your water bottle forms a new vacuum seal (when the air space and water volume equalize). This little release of water is the after effect of this equalization as the pressure stabilizes, and it is perfectly normal & not a sign of a leaking water bottle. ~To help establish the vacuum seal when the water bottle is first filled and mounted, tap the ball bearing several times with your fingertip to speed up the equalization of the vacuum pressure. IF YOUR WATER BOTTLE HAS A CONTINUOUS LEAK/DRIPS TRY THESE TIPS: 1)Check inside the cap of your bottle, and you should see a rubber gasket inside the cap. If the gasket is missing or damaged, your bottle will continuously drip. 2)Fill the water bottle completely full with water. A bottle filled halfway will take longer to create a vacuum and will drip more. 3)Once you have filled the bottle, tighten the cap securely, tap the ball bearing at the sink a few times, hang it on the cage/crate, and tap the ball bearing a few more times. Your water bottle should stop dripping within a few minutes. The smaller the bottle, the quicker the dripping will stop. 4)Hold the bottle so that the tube is facing up, squeeze the bottle until you force a small amount of water out, then turn it over and hang it on the cage/crate. (Think of it like a doctor clearing a syringe of air before giving you a shot.) The 32 oz and 64 oz bottles will take longer to form a vacuum than the 8 and 16 oz bottles. 5)Keep the water bottle out of direct sunlight and from warming too much because this will make the water leak as well. 6)If the animal continually shakes the cage, this can shake the water bottle which will leak as well. You can put a little drip protector underneath to catch the water.

It really doesn't deserve any stars at all. Bought 2, and got 2 very leaky, dribbling water bottles. Very unreliable. The more water that is in them , the faster they empty, and this is NOT over the water line. There is not really a suitable replacement here. Amazon continues to tempt me to buy more of them, and they have been deemed worthless long before now. A properly filled bottle may or may not last until the following day. Constantly dripping water makes a mess of bedding, litter, food, and toys and that makes them not worth your money. Kaytee make GLASS water bottles that are rainfall priced and do not leak, but these are not of that quality at all. I would not recommend them to anyone...well, maybe as a plant waterer! Perfect for pets. Cleans easy + never leaks.

I purchased this product for one of my guinea pigs and was surprised at how successful (we both!) found it. It’s easy to clean and holds plenty of water. There is some slight leaking once you slide it in and out of the cage, but never a constant drip once moved. Once settled, your bedding will stay dry. Putting it on the cage may be a little confusing, so I found the best solution is to put the clips OUTSIDE the cage and slip the water bottle there, too. Make sure it’s an optimal height for your pet, and put your finger at the tip every few days or so to ensure there isn’t any blockage. Overall, a great product and I would buy it again.

Such a nice little water bottle for my bunny. I like the way it clips to her cage. Seems she's always thirsty and she goes threw her bottles ..I will be buying these as replacements when she needs them.

This is a super easy water bottle for bunnies but I’m only giving it 3 stars because it leaks. Has from day one. Not a huge deal breaker for us because we just keep it leaking into the litter pan but would make a horrible mess if you didn’t do a similar set up.

The ONLYYY I mean ONLYYYY bottle that has not leaked or dripped like crazy and I have had a bunch of water bottles for my guinea pigs in the past and every single one has leaked like crazy. Definitely a great buy for any smaller animal. Couple months later 8/26 and it is still working amazing!!!!!

They made this one so good, build quality is sturdy and you can feel the time they spent for this product. Very very worth your time and money. Perfectly durable and finish is just perfect. Would definitely recommend this to my friends or family and probably would buy it again.

Amazing! Saves me having to fill my rats water more often and has literally zero issues. It's plastic, but durable, and really cheap compared to what you see in pet stores. Plus it comes with a cute lil duckie to gauge the amount of water left in it!
