Bought this for my mom with early dementia bc she keeps starting her food on the stove and forgets it’s cooking then burns it and smokes up the house. Obviously fire danger! I had to find a timer she LIKES or she won’t use it. (Learned by buying a cheap basic one.) But she LOVES this beautiful little birdie and enjoys setting it!Very high quality and works great. The bell is not harsh but still loud enough and kinda cheery. So relieved she’s using it now and the air is staying clear and knock wood, our house is safer!

This is just what I wanted. I'm happy with this purchase. I recall my mother had a manual metal timer in 1972. She was making apple pie and for some stupid reason only children know, I held it to my ear the last few minutes until it rang. LoL (I only did it once.) I've been looking for one that worked mechanically, wasn't digital (or made any noise that my cell phone makes) and wouldn't require maintenance later. This little happy yellow bird is great and I probably won't misplace it because I think its the only yellow thing in my home.
