Arguably on the large side to be called "pinch bowls", they're a bit more substantial than that. They hold a maximum volume of about 110ml. Very useful for holding all sorts of ingredients whilst cooking. The lids fit firmly and tightly enough and seal them so you can help retain freshness. I'd argue that in fact they fit too tightly. It can be a bit of an effort to get the lids - which are quite stiff plastic - off and you could potentially end up throwing the contents everywhere. It would certainly be prudent not to utilise the full volume if you are going to put the lids on.Calling them "dishwasher safe" is nominal only. They're so lightweight they're going to get thrown around by the jets of water and likely (as often happens with other small plastic containers) finish up wrong way up full of filthy water when you open the door after it's finished.3½ stars rounded up.

Never thought of needing pinch bowls..usually when cooking, I dose directly form main packaging using measuring spoon, this never need a problem for me. Now, having these cute mini bowls I would rather use them for packed lunch for small portion of salad, olives, etc. They look really cute and the lid sits firmly on top, protecting the contents inside. I suggest removing the lids gently not to spill what's inside..Bowls are made of strong plastic, great quality, pretty red in colour. Lids are firmer, also made of plastic.I think these bowls are nice to have, especially when you making an online videos during your baking or want to have fancy equipment when someone comes over to dinner.. :)I can recommend these bowls, they are very nice and durable. I suggest hand wash, because of their small size.
