Pegboard Hooks, Peg Board Accesories, for Organizing Various Tools, 146 Pieces, 60 of Which are Peg Locks

I'm a sucker for a good pegboard organization scheme. These pegs aren't exactly going to revolutionize pegboards, but they do bring one nice innovation to the table (as well as one minor frustration).The Good: The variety of pegs is pretty good. The only types I wish it had are longer single pegs (like a 10-inch length), and the double pegs, for hanging hammers and whatnot. But what's here is pretty good, and there are plenty of them for the price. My favorite thing is also sort of my least favorite, however. The black plastic bins are a much better design than the other plastic bins I've used in the past. Making the hooks metal instead of plastic was a great idea. I'm not super excited about the "some assembly required" aspect, however.The Bad: There are no heavy-duty hooks, but that's not what it claims to be, so no stars off for that. The most frustrating part is the "some assembly required" part. Not only do you have to assemble the plastic bins, but you also have to put all the little rubber ends on the straight pegs. That's the manipulation of small pieces and delicate manual work. I'm not a fan. Plus, it slows everything down.The Meh: I'm not a big fan of the "multi-tool rack" pegs. I never seem to have anything that fits on them. And the peg locks are frustrating too. They make the pegs stick out at weird angles when there's not tools hanging on them, and they aren't really that solid of a "lock" either. I only use them when I don't have the space to use a different type (the plastic hook ones that lock into the wholes on either side of the peg. They take up more room, but they actually lock the peg down).Overall, this is a nice starter set of peg hooks that can be supplemented by purchasing individual hooks that you still need for specific purposes. I like it.

This set offers a nice cross-section of hooks, small bins, and tool holders. I especially like the inclusion of the rubber locks that you place into the hole before inserting your accessory. Over the years, the biggest issue I’ve had with my pegboard tool holder is the hooks and tools falling out with even a moderate bump. These help eliminate that issue. The rubber tips are nice but may make some smaller tools more difficult to hang. Nothing particularly innovative here, but it’s a good solid set at a fair price point.Full Disclosure: I acquired this as a Vine user. This diverse set comes with a wide array of inserts that allow me to hang just about everything, but the real highlight is the peg locks! They keep everything locked into place and super stable; nothing gets knocked out just by being brushed up against. And it's quiet. These have made keeping a peg board in my coat closet practical. Highly recommend!

I am setting up a couple of pegboards, and this kit seemed like it would be perfect for one of them.First, keep in mind that almost half the pieces are peg locks, but if your pegboard is 1/4" like mine, that's not a bad thing at all, because this kit is 1/8" (which, yes, works just fine in 1/4" holes, but this will keep the pegs secured in the bigger holes). If your pegboard is 1/8", these peg locks will be useless to you (they'll be too big for the holes in your board).The metal hardware is pretty standard. It fits in 1"-spaced holes and sits against the board like it's supposed to. Nothing remarkable or unremarkable to write about there.The plastic bins, though, I am a little disappointed in. They're smaller than I was expecting (which is my fault for not having proper expectations based on the listing's dimensions), but more importantly, one of the four of them is pretty warped. Not the end of the world, and I can still use it, but QC is not the best.

The package came with a very large assortment of pegboard hooks and tool holders.I've had sheets of wood pegboards from the big blue and big orange hardware stores installed in the garage, and for many years have used metal pegboard hooks whose diameters fit the pegboard holes exactly.This set uses thinner hooks that can easily fall out of the pegboard holes, which is where the black silicone peg locks come in. The peg locks fit snugly into the pegboard holes, and then you insert the hooks into the peg locks.These prevent the hooks from falling off.The pieces most useful to me are the large J hooks and the straight hooks. I was initially apprehensive of using the four plastic boxes, thinking it would be easy to accidentally nudge these and spill their contents.I was pleasantly surprised that the metal hooks used to hang these on the pegboard fit very snugly into the back of the plastic boxes, which make them secure.
