Cool comfort on a budget
The media could not be loaded. I picked up this portable AC a few months ago, and it's been beyond my expectations! Setting it up was super easy, didn't need a manual or anything. It's pretty compact and looks great in my room, not like those bulky ones you usually see.As for cooling, this thing works like a charm. My room gets chilly real quick, which is awesome looking back last year hot summer days. It comes with adjustable settings and I can tweak the settings to get the perfect temperature and fan speed that suits me.What's really cool is how it helped me during winter as dehumidifier It was great help toward my electricity bill when you have to dry the laundry ;) which is a win-win.All in all, if you're on the hunt for a solid portable AC that won't break the bank, I'd say give this one a shot. It's been a lifesaver for me!

A great purchase for this horrid humid weather 😊

Small compact. Does work
It's ok. Small enough to carry upstairs for the summer evening. Takes a little while to cool a room down but it does. The unit I had before was bigger and took a lot of effort to carry around. Don't get me wrong this is no light but a lot easier for one person to carry up the stairs. Am I happy with it Yes. Would I buy it again. No as I would try a different model as this is not perfect.

From 31oC to 29oC in 1 hour. Costs about 30-38p per hour. It is 985watts -update4-
The media could not be loaded. For my electric counter, it's about roughly between 30-38p per hour of use, 985watts including with everything going on in the house it came to 1.5kw 1500 watts about 43p per hour total in the house at that point in time, the fridge was running and everyone in the house was probably using something or other at the time of checking. This product for it's price is actually really good, it does make a bit of noise, can't really sleep with it on, but a few hours before bed can work wonders when temperatures outside hit 29-36oC my room actually being in the loft hits around 35-45oC all thanks to insulation, so I figured ok insulation is good if you have AC too. I found this price at £220 and have to say it's basic needs of cooling, dehumidifyand a sleep option which just forces the fans to run at low out of low, medium, and high, the low still is a bit too noisy for sleeping in, though for a portable AC at 220 quid can't really complain. It doesn't come with a window kit, you have to buy that separately, which I did on Amazon I got the loft kit which was actually hard to install, but after installing it, it minimises the escape of the cold air, whilst keeping as much of the heat from outside from entering, you have to install the kit properly otherwise you end up spending more money running the AC power as the time it takes to keep cold air in is less thus less cost to the electric bill.I couldn't find a swivle button on this air conditioner, you can manually lift up the fins to change vertical direction, but doesn't seem like there's a horizontal direction automated mode, there is a lever you can manaually move to swivle it left or right (horizontally). The AC has wheels so it's easy to slide around, if you want more motion swivle. The exhaust hose that chucks out the heat from the AC, is about maybe between 2 to 3 Meters long somewhere between that It's not very long when extended, but I had it next to the window so I was fine, if you want more space, get an AC exhaust hose extension which should work with this AC unit too.The only problem I had with this is the instruction manual isn't very thourough, and this is my first time installing an AC unit, so not sure where the water small pipe hose goes, I know one end screws onto the AC unit, but the other end goes where outside the window? in the small leak pipe near the floor of the AC? Why isn't this clear in the manual, might have to contact the manufacturer. It's managed in 1 hour to take the temperature of my room down from 31oC to 29oC now my room after 1 hour is about 28oC I think it will take a few hours when setting the AC to 16oC to get my room to at least 20oC. My room being quite big, and also the AC is set in a corner so if it were in the open it would cool the place better and faster.Just so you know it is 985watts not 970, the energy saving ehh, I don't think any AC is energy saving but some AC's do run about 1000-1500watts. Some run less than 900watts.Something worth noting, I found out that the small water hose, is only needed for when dehumidifying mode is on, which you can either put it in a bucket, or hang it outside a window, which pushes out water as it dehumidifies, otherwise in AC cold mode only, there is very little water, and you should plug it up and screw the cap on, it is drained off by the heat of the machine, so it's recycled that way. So basically only use the thin tube water hose, for dehumidifying option. Also when changing modes wait 3 minutes before changing to each mode, I find that a bit annoying but also the remote functions are slow to engage the modes, like delayed reaction. I'll update this review and be more helpful regarding that, and how I've also gotten along with the unit over the weeks, and months ahead.Quick tip:Mine had some heat loss at the base near the AC heat outlet, you can feel it with your hands, it's leaking heat on mine, it might leak it on everyones, basically a quick fix, I put some toilet paper lol around the screw bit before plugging in the rectangular hose part, all around like a teflon tape, and then after clicking it in and sliding it back onto the AC heat outlet. What this did was actually prevent the heat from escaping, as I now check it with my hands, and there's no heat coming out. This has increased it's efficiency by a lot, it no longer leaks heat, and it doesn't catch fire because the heat coming out doesn't get hot enough. It's a quick fix, suggest the manufactuers fix this at the cause, and put in better sealing for the hose.Just tape it around with the paper, and dig half of it into the hose, then cap it on top which clicks into place, and sandwiches the toilet paper between the edges so the heat stays in, gives it that better insulation.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update-1: I found out that the back doesn't contain a filter because that's where the hot air is expelled from, not sure if that's such a good idea, because it means inside the big metal heat sink will eventually get dusty. On the left side of the product, there is a latch you can pull out, which reveals the actual filter that comes from blowing in the front, it's not very good, its' just a slide out with a dust net, I had to buy some really thin dust filter paper pads, which I intend to slide in on top of it, to give more cleaner air in the output. Will be back for another update.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update2-Had to remove another star, at the bottom of the AC, I notice that there's some liquid on the floor, not a lot but still I want to know why this happened, and keeps happening, I hear water being drained when I turn it off, all water hoses sealed, no light comes on to indicate tank is full, yet it is leaking a little from the bottom front of the unit??----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update 3-I found out that the water came from inside overflow, moving the AC unit when the overfow on top of the motor is full, may result in some water dripping out, I don't know why there is no seal on this so water doesn't just drip and stay on top of the motor without spilling out, which the motor can get really hot over time.I'm still not sure about this AC, it seems the more I use it the more things I find wrong with it. It was nice of the seller to get back to me on more info, I may increase my review in the future if I find out this has a long warranty then it be worth 200 quid, but not just 2 years or so, things like this should have a 7-10 year warranty considering it costs 30-40p or so per hour to run it, then I'd rate higher, as being the best AC on the market for it's price range vs also a good warranty. I will update this again 1 or 2 more times in the near future.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update 4-I was assured the warranty would be good, and the leak may have been because I moved the AC whilst it was perhaps full of water, I still haven't sourced that issue yet, as it hasn't happened since not moving the AC, I recently got some wheel stopper pads, I intend to place under the wheels to prevent accidently moving it. As a result I feel this deserves 4/5 stars minimum maybe worth 5/5 for it's price range actually.Good AC unit for it's price I paid £230 and I only use it when the room gets 30oC or above. Today was a hot day without the AC my room would be 36oC. So this saved me, and was well worth the less stress from the heat.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ending note-I take good care of my things, but If it breaks down many years later, I'll most likely get warranty, but either way I will let you all know what happened to this, if I'm still around that is, and that would be my final update.
