This is a great rotary cutter especially for the price. The mat is good for cutting smaller cuts. I will probably get a bigger one later so that I can cut the whole length of the fabric in one motion but it is the perfect size for cutting quilting squares. I also really liked the clips. They are a good size and were quick to use. All in all it is a great buy.

This set is well worth the great price! The rotary cutter, cuts with such ease! The mini knife with replacement blades, was perfect for cutting button holes; so sharp! The knife has a safety cap that stays on well. I love that it has measurements on both sides of the mat, also having a clear, nice size ruler, great for angles! The clips are a necessity and great to have recieved so many! All in all, a perfect starter set, gift set, or a want set because the price and contents are so nice!

I got this set specifically to have the blue rotary cutter to grab for cutting paper and cardboard so I'd quit using my fabric rotary cutters for that purpose. This set's rotary cutter is a just a little flimsier than my Olfas, but it has been working out GREAT! I also like the quality of the penknife. It fits in my hand nice, holds the blade well and the blade is very sharp. I use the small cutting mat on a turntable for cutting smaller pieces of fabrics and odd angles. The clips and ruler are just as good as any of the other quilt tools in my arsenal. The set is worth the price. I think some of the reviews about the rotary cutter may be from people who aren't as familiar with rotary cutter quirks and I wonder if they know the blade needs to be cleaned and oiled sometimes. I have all the same issues with my Olfas but they are easy fixes. So far I've been happy I took a chance and ordered these. If for some reason the rotary cutter ends up falling apart, I will let you know, but I used it to cut up a bunch of cardboard into squares the other day and I was very grateful to have it to use.

First of all the may did not arrived rolled, but rather a box than made me feel proud that it did not arrived with wrinkles. Also it says on the mat to not roll it. So I’m glad it all arrived intact. Second of all, all the accessories it comes with are of pretty standard quality one would expect. I mean there’s a good amount of plastic but it shouldn’t be a problem for those who care for their things so I’m not worried about them breaking on me. I bought this kit mostly because of the mat and cutting pen which I’m glad it’s fully made up of metal. The clips seem plenty strong, but made for smaller projects since they have a small bite. Perfect for cloth work though so I don’t mind. Mat size if big enough for me and the cm size is accurate enough to trust. Not so much on the inches size due to the line thickness so be sure to measure with an actual ruler you trust for that part. The ruler is more accurate then the one I use at the moment so that’s a plus for me. There appears to be a warp/bend on my ruler but considering that I just need it to lay it flat it won’t affect me as much if any. I give it a 5 due to the price and what it gives. If you want better quality add more money. I’ll just use my mother’s metal yard stick if I need more flat edge. I mostly bought this for embroidery work/cutting cloth so it’s all I need. It has the added benefit of sacrificing itself instead of my table and it’s thick enough that I’m not that worry about it. Thanks.

I bought this set for mom for her 80th birthday and she got to pick this out as I was showing her the options to choose from on Amazon. She loves the wheel cutter that comes with because of the grip as mom is starting to get arthritis in her hands and fingers. She has a nice Fiskars cutting wheel she has been using for 20 plus years but it has a narrow grip. The cutting wheel included has a more wider and ergonomic grip that can handle cutting multiple sheets of fabric. With the clear ruler, the tiny cloth pins, and the cutting board, it has replaced the Fiskars cutting wheel and scissors that my mom had used for decades. After a week, mom says she leaves everything prepared the night before and when she wakes up early the next day she gets to cutting fabric for an upcoming craft project for her senior recreation center. It has increased her efficiency and has found renewed joy for her craft projects. Great value and an awesome set of accessories. Great choice for a birthday gift and I appreciate that my mom is happy with this product. Highly recommended!
