Bought this camera on Prime days for my son's birthday. Camera wouldn't work. Amazon said since I bought the camera 2 months ahead of time that they wouldn't refund me. Now I'm out my money and my son is out his birthday gift.

As a previous photographer that covered weddings and wildlife, I think that this is a great little camera as long as your expectations are in line with the unit's abilities.It's designed to be lightweight, compact, and help beginners to learn/practice basics. Its other intended purpose is basic vlogging. And I personally think it excels at its intended use!I was looking for a super simple alternative to always dragging out all my heavier, more expensive equipment all the time. But I also didn't want to clog up my phone storage- not to mention the zoom/focus can be trash on the Iphone. This little beauty is easy to to grab, shove in your pocket, & get crisp shots when you run out the door. You can control basic functions like iso, fps, etc & I actually like the zoom distance while maintaining decent clarity. The battery didn't last as long as I was hoping, but they send you 2, so not a huge deal.The video on this is better than my Canon. I'm trying it out by chronicling my baby's milestones. Love that the screen flips for an easy "selfie" orientation.So, while you probably shouldn't use it to shoot a client wedding or pro-level YT videos, I think it's pretty cool if you have reasonable expectations.

I was totally duped reading all the reviews that said good camera, especially from a "professional photographer" as long as expectations are in line.I hit the button to take the photo, and nothing happens! I don't know how many times I have to press the button for it to actually do something.4K? The video looks like I'm watching movement through a flip book. Pictures are ok though many blurry.I bought it for my kids. I have a nice Sony with changeable lens that my son was enjoying using. So this camera looked similar like the Sony NEX 5R with the flip screen & thought it would be a fun starter camera.I had bought my kids a cheap little kid camera a few years back that has cute digital frame choices but the photos are a little grainy.So I was trying to level them up with this camera.I personally tested when we received it. This was the worst, most frustrating camera I have ever used & I've used a lot of different evolutions of cameras. My old school camera from 20 yrs ago would be better than this.If the shutter button worked properly (or if the camera responded properly to when the shutter button was pressed) maybe the camera wouldn't be as bad. But it was totally unacceptable.I'm not one to return things because I'm just bad at returning things. But that was the immediate thought my first use. I hoped after I "broke it in" and used it enough times that the camera works work properly or I'd get the hang of it. Nope, still stuck.Don't waste your money on this. This was a new low for cheap cameras. Which was unexpected given the 4K "quality" & price. I wasn't expecting top of the line, but atleast a camera that when you press the shutter it takes the photo in response.This product is no longer available but I felt compelled to write this review anyways. They probably opened up under a different account & selling the same product to the next unfortunate customers.
