This is a honest review. Overall this is one cool, fun, EDC capable knife. My knife came sharp, clean, zero flaws and issues. It's hands down the biggest Spyderco I own. But it's very capable for EDC and it's lighter than I expected. This is a defense focused knife. I'd avoid heavy use and stress on the blade, but it's very capable. Think of this knife as "your bodyguard". If you are looking for a FUN, Big, easy on the wallet knife... This is a winner. I have NO REGRETS buying it at all👍. Even in VG-10, it's pretty solid. Especially for the average guy like me.

The Police 4 one of Spyderco’s longer knives. Super ergonomic, can get a couple different grip positions. Very thin blade profile 10.5mm with the grippy FRN scales, with a stainless steel skeletonized liners. Lightweight for its size 4.15oz, and came out of the box extremely sharp. Very good lock up with the back lock little stuff at first. I believe it’s running on phosphorus bronze washers, so it will break in the more you use it. VG10 steel is an excellent mid-grade Japanese steel, highly corrosive, tough, and very good edge retention sharpens up easily as well. Really good knife if you like the bigger variety.

The knife is long when you open it, it might be 9" long when open, so it might not be practical or even legal to carry it where you live. But whether it is or not, you will never own a better knife in your life. Sleek, solid, strong, and sharp, in a world and an industry where it's commonplace for companies to use plastic components and tiny screws, there is just nothing like this knife. It's basically a piece of art. Because Amazon wants me to mention it, you can open it with you thumb or index fingers, but a complete idiot could figure out how to work the blade in a about 2 seconds. If it's not too long for you, it's basically the perfect knife.

Super light that I even drop it without knowing, feels a little weak because lock mechanism Compare to Military 2 but with the Length of the blade and using the blade what is ment for ,you wouldn’t notice it moves a tiny bit, it retains sharpness pretty good ,une thing it takes a minute to get use to open long blade ,

This is my second Police model Syderco. I bought my first one at a gun show in the late 80's. Loved that knife. I bought one after a friend of mine went camping near Austin Texas. A freak change in the weather unexpectedly dropped temps into the 50's. My two friends we're freezing and wanted to build a fire. But they couldn't find any branches in the dark. They didn't have an ax or any other tools. Not the best prepared campers. So my friend pulls out his Sypderco and starts sawing branches off trees to build a fire. Remarkably his knife although it lost the tips off the serrated blade, stayed in great shape and would still cut through anything. My original knife I used to open boxes and cut just about anything. Hell I used it to remove an infected corn I had on the bottom of my left foot. The corn split open from a cut, and wart formed in it. And surgury to remove it so it would heal was needed. I just pulled out my Sypderco and removed the infected skin. Healed nicely. Didn't even leave a scar. Yeah I was kind of crazy back in my 20's. Should of gone to the doctor! Sadly my ex lost my first Sypderco police special. I saw a old used one at a gun show recently and looked around for a new one. That used one with the tip slightly broken off was the only one I found. Thousands of other knifes. But no knives for me there. So I pick one up a new one on Amazon. Very impressed with it. It was still in the box. Still has oil on it. So far seems very similar to my old knife. My original didn't have much in the way of markings or logos. But other than that seems to be the same. I'll find out in the years to come!

I just received my knife yesterday, and I already love it. This is my second Spyderco the first being the excellent-value-for-money, Resilience. That knife showed me how much I appreciate a 4"+ blade and Spyderco, so when I lost it I decided to try the Police 4 Lite model. Overall the Police is longer, lighter, and thinner than the Resilience. It locks up solidly, and the skelotonized steel liners add a lot of strength and not much weight. It's far from fixed blade strength, but feels like a precise, high quality EDC tool. It will certainly be my preferred choice for as long as I can foresee. The grip is good, ergonomics are fair (would be comfier is the handle were ticker, but I'm happy to accept that compromise because I can hardly tell I have a mini pocket sword on me), and the Japanese steel and craftsmanship is excellent. It came sharp but the first thing I did was polish the grind marks out of the bevels and get it razor sharp. Time will tell how it deals with corrosion, but for now it is a total winner and good value at $90.

Good knife, good materials, good quality Spyderco is one of the better knife manufactures out there for some the Spidey hole is hard to get used to once you do it’ll bring a smile on your face

軽量化の為樹脂素材が採用されることの多い中、発売当初からのステンレスモデル。ボディに無粋なスクリューなど無くずっしりと頼り甲斐有る輝くハンドル、今となっては見慣れた、しかし世に出でたる時はその斬新さに度肝を抜かれた関VG-10ブレード。 もちろんマイナーチェンジは重ねられ刻印やクリップ、そのた微細形態等が改良されてはいるが、本質的にはスパイダルコの開発理念その元を表している形がポリスシリーズであったと思う。 たとえ携帯性に難があり日本人の手にはいささか大きすぎても、ストレート、ハーフ、フルセレーテッドに関わらずどれか一つは一度は使ってみて欲しい。 実は発売当初からすると今は倍近い金額になってしまっている。が、逆に言えばそれだけ物価が移ろうだけの期間を変わらずに生き残ってきて尚未だ製造され続けるナイフである。他にこの様なものがいくつあるだろうか。いわゆるコンパクトナイフやクラシックナイフ以外で。だからラスロックとかノックス、110なんかは除くぞ。 変わらなかったのではなく変える必要のなかった完成されたこの一振り、是非味わってみて。
