This is exactly what I needed to repair a bunch of old books, The different sizes and the tools were helpful.

This non-acid tape fixes my music collection. I have music books and sheet music that go back to 1886. A lot are from 1920’s-1930’s. Needless to say, the bindings are not in good shape, the sheet music is torn, and some have loose pages. This tape does a good job keeping the books and sheet music together. The drawback is it is not very transparent, and it covers up the wording on the binding and where else it’s used. Make sure the tape is straight, small creases can be pushed out as the linen is flexible, but larger ones cannot. On older music, the adhesive would stick and peel the fragile paper, so I quickly learned once it is on the paper, go with it. Do not try to peel it off. On newer music that has a glossier sheen, the tape easily peels off so you can make sure it is straight. Once on, the tape holds firmly. I am pleased that I can turn the pages easily with minimal memory of the closed book.

I make altered books. I started with a vintage book cover and made a new spine. I covered covered the new spine with this tape. I then wanted to glue or attach fabric.I tried at least a dozen different glues/adhesives and two kinds of fabric with each type of glue. I tried a double sided tape, and I tried sanding and gluing after sanding. This glue did not stick to itself nor would anything else adhere. I’m so frustrated.Fortunately because the only thing the tape sticks to is plain paper, I was able to remove it from the vintage book cover so that I can start over with some other kind of tape.

This is the worst book tape ever. Didn't stick to the book and nothing sticks to it. And I mean nothing. Like double sided score tape glue, etc. Nothing. I did like the bone folders. They are sturdy.
