Ultra + Multi

I use this with a ball head to get some good pictures and ground level. Easy to transport and use especially in places a tripod would be cumbersome to carry.

The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because I haven't "field" tested yet. I have used it for some indoor macro work and it is great! My tripod head fits nicely. The Platypod is very sturdy even with a Canon 7D attached. I purchased this with a trip to Italy in mind and hope to use it in place of a tripod. It's light but sturdy and is easy to tuck into a camera bag or clip on your belt with the included carabiner. It's well made and well thought out.
