Metal blade is sharp and plastic blade is perfect for cleaning the stove and removing things like stickers from a surface you don't wanna scratch. Only problem is that the caps won't stay on securely and the box for the extra blades was broken, so it won't stay closed.

Ease of use and cap for safety

For years I had an old-fashioned single-edge razor blade scraper that was incredibly sturdy, but there was no cap, so you had to be careful about where you stored it.I saw this, and saw that it was capped on both ends, but wasn't entirely sure why. It turns out that the holder (two holders, actually, are in the box), has a scraper on both ends, on side is preloaded with a regular steel single-edged razor blade, and the other is loaded at the factory with a pink plastic "blade" that is the exact same shape and size, but it's useful for more delicate things. (Think, scraping the price-label off of a book.)In addition to the two, two-sided scraper handles, there is also a full box of refills both for the stainless steel blades as well as the pink plastic blades. Probably enough to last at least a couple of years; and even though I've been finding a use for this several times a week for the past couple of months, I've yet to need a single replacement blade.It feels good in the hand, I love the fact that there are form-fitting covers on each end, and though it might not be quite as sturdy as a metal scraper/holder, it certainly seems sturdy enough.

This product has improved ergonomics versus a traditional flat blade holder, which is great for reaching into tight spaces or to have a better angle when scraping against surfaces.One of my least favorite chores is scraping off my registration sticker on my car every year and wrapping my knuckles on the windscreen. The length and curved handle of this blade scraper made that much easier.I really appreciate that it came with so many replacement blades. The extra blades alone could be a great value.Be aware that although this product is very sturdy, it is still constructed of entirely plastic. I'd advise that for household use this is great, but professional users seek out a heavy-duty alternative.

I got this originally for removing window stickers, but used it first for some drywall work. I need to cut and remove some damaged wallpaper and it did that easily. Handle felt good in the hand and caps felt secure. The extra blades are very appreciated.

This is a wonderful tool to have if you own a ceramic stove top. We all get those pesky splatters that dry up, ot get baked on, and are very difficult to remove.This scraper takes care of all your messes very easily. It comes with two blades on opposite ends. One is metal, which I like to use mostof the time, and the other is plastic, for super delicate surfaces.The scraper also work wonders on all those small dried up stains left behindon glass and other surfaces after painting.I want to also mention that in the package you receive two scraper tools and additional replacement blades.I think it's a great value, and a truly necessary tool in any household.

The media could not be loaded.  Still, after figuring out how to remove the blades without disassembly, it still remains that there's not a ton of threading in the thumb screw, so if you back off too far, you better have your hand on the fastener - it's not captive. That's my only complaint - that it should somehow be captive.

These plastic/blade combo scrapers are awesome! I have found a lot of uses for them around the kitchen and the garage. Only downside is how easily the blades and the handles themselves tend to break. I've already broken one of the handles because I was pressing too hard and it just cracked. The blades, both plastic and metal, also tend to chip and break rather easily. Fortunately this pack comes with lots of extra blades so it's not a big deal. Happy with the value and the utility of this product.
