Great little gadget
On the whole I am very pleased with this and for the price you shouldn't expect more. It is ideal for a small pool and you can adjust the pump so that it doesn't spray the water outside the pool. The only downside is that the pump seems to clog up very quickly even though our water had only been in about 2 weeks. However it is very easy to slide the pump open, give it a quick rinse and off it goes! The instructions are minimal so you have to guess that there are 3 or 4 different heads to give different sprays and 2 or 3 rods to give you different heights. other than that I'd say it was the best I could find at that price but note that this product does not store the power so it only works in sunlight. To get one that stores you need to pay a lot more.

Disappointed.
Disappointed. Does need FULL sunshine to work and battery back up seems very poor. Keep having to set re set button to get it going again. Contacting seller regarding returning the item. Lovely when it works, just don't expect it to run for long.

The water jets are a bit pathetic (they blow sideways in the wind
The water jets are a bit pathetic (they blow sideways in the wind!) but will do for a bit of water trickling sound. Solar works well. Jets get blocked with yucky stuff at bottom of the pond though so have to clean out.

It's just outstanding, even in my mostly shaded garden!
Arrrggghh, I'm SO happy with it! I have a container pond and I bought a few oxygenating plants for it (among others) but it kept going green and I longed for that relaxing sound of trickling water in the garden. It takes minutes to put together and is super simple. My garden is mostly in the shade so I trailed the solar panel out to the area that gets the most sun and it works constantly! I accidentally left it on one night and it was still alive and kicking at 10pm when I took the dog out for the toilet.Incase anyone is reading who isn't quite sure on configuration, basically the pump sits in the bottom of your pond with attachments you build up to the water level of your pond so that spray head (there are multiple choices on spray head for different effects). There are suckers on the bottom of the pump that grabbed a hold of my zinc tub straight away. If they don't stick you can use the float attachment that sits under your spray head. Then the pumps draws energy from the solar panel. In the middle of this connection lies the battery - for any of the time you aren't using the pump it recharges the battery (as long as there's some sun) as back up power for evenings and very cloudy days. That said, my pump still works great with a good cloud cover!Nothing beats cracking open a beer at the end of the day and sitting near this. Oh, and no more green pond! It's just fantastic and so glad I spent a little bit of extra money. Don't waste your money trying something cheaper, you'll probably end up buying this anyway.

Not very impressed! :(
Firstly, when the pump arrived it was missing the Funnel Attachment, but Powerbee posted one to me promptly. Secondly, it does only work when the sun is shining and (foolishly) I had read all the reviews talking about the "battery backup" and hadn't actually noted that they were listed on the pump WITHOUT battery - WHY? So be sure you buy the correct one, because without battery backup its pretty useless! Thirdly, its only been running a few days and is already playing up; the fountain keeps dwindling to minute proportions and I have to turn it off and on to get it going again. I will persevere a while longer but I'm not overly impressed :(

Great little fountain
Very pleased with this product. My pond is 1m.50cm by 80cm and it is ideal for this size, although I don't get the result shown in the photo! As I live in the south of France, lack of sun isnot a problem. The product arrived ahead of given date, in a perfect state. There are two things I would criticize:The battery is shoddy - I had great difficulty getting the screws undone and done up again.A guide to pond size would be very helpful when choosing a fountain. "Small" doesn't reallyhelp very much.

Seller not honouring 1 year guarantee - see update!
I purchased this to convert a mains powered water feature to solar as I didn't have a mains supply in my garden. *SEE UPDATE*The first unit was faulty, but the seller replaced the pump immediately with no issues. The second unit has been in use for 2 months now. I love the fact I can switch in on and off to conserve power for evening/ dull days or leave it to run in the sun. It needs to be quite bright to work, but no different from any other solar device I've used.Update: The fountain has stopped working. On inspection, the “weatherproof” battery pack was filled with water. I contacted the seller, who advised the battery pack needs to be kept horizontal to remain “weatherproof” although there’s no mention of this in the instructions that came with it. When I contacted the seller, his response was, “we cannot put in the instructions every way not to install the battery as it would be exhaustive” and, “can I suggest running the pump without the battery”.The seller is not standing by the 1 year guarantee, he’s reverting to the battery’s 6 month guarantee, although it’s not the battery at fault in this case, it’s the “weatherproof” casing and lack of clear instructions that it is only “weatherproof” when located in a certain orientation. This item is not fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The whole Family loves this product
In our garden we have a small pond next to a decking area that has soft seating to chill out on in the summer. The pond needed some movement and we wanted the relaxing sound of water in the background. The pond is far from the house and getting power would have been a problem , let a lone an additional cost.Solution install a solar pump! so many to chose from and so many claims of how good each one is. I researched localy and satisifed myself that Amason was the best option, it was, lowest costs and largest choice. Which one to chose? I wanted a small pump so as not to dominate the pond but wanted maximum perforamnce and not a "dribble" . Read previous reviews compared to the rest and opted for this model and supplier. It arrived in a few days, it tool minuites to assemble and was working in less time than the assembly. All the family happy and now relaxing by the pond to the sound of splashing water. Get this one it will not fall short of the suppliers claims.
