Sander Polisher & Accessories 5 Pc Piece Kit Silverline 264569 180mm 6" Car Boat

I bought this sander polisher to buff up my wifes car as I'm getting to old to do it manually these days. If I do it manually it usually takes me two or three days to recover from the aches and pains. The Silverline sander/polisher makes the job so much less painful on the wrists and shoulders and brings the finish up beautifully, plus I've recovered by the next day.The thing to remember is not to let the polishing mop or polish dry out until you're ready to buff it off. I carry a hand spray of water and give it a light coating after each sweep with the polisher to help maintain good lubrication and to prevent burning the paint.The other thing is, don't try to go to fast, I stay in the first three speed settings, in fact around 95% of the work is done in the first or second setting. I also do one panel at a time, it can get a little fiddly at times but the results are worth it.When you're finished don't forget to wash out the mop heads. I use a diluted solution of washing up liquid and then rinse in fresh water, give them a squeeze and put them back in their polythene bags to protect them. A lot of folk don't bother but I'm a tight wad and like to make things last by looking after them.I will update on the durability at a later date as I don't really use it enough to comment at the moment.

Does exactly what it says in the advert. Bought to help undo the ravages of a red fence overspray on a white caravan, and has removed all the overspray damage. Delivery was really fast, and am looking forward to using the fleece pad to put the shine back on the 'van sides..

Very robust product that is very fit for purpose but be very careful, unlike me, to avoid power lead wrapping round spindle when in use. It is easy tangle the lead when concentrating on polishing. Lead snapped and could have resulted in severe physical harm. Excellent after sale service from Dapetz, the supplier.

Looks a great bit of kit The company were great in tracking the posted item as good old Royal snail mail delayed delivery somewhere!

Delivery was on time, the extra items I ordered with the polisher were squeezed into the same box deforming it. I thought the quality of polisher looked cheap with quite rough casting of its parts, it also sounds very rough for a new machine. Just my opinion.
