It didn't work BUT
I ordered this spray hoping it would work for my puppy who has taken to chewing on furniture. I looked through the reviews and felt comfortable enough ordering. When it arrived the outside was a little slick from the product (not an issue) so I set to work spraying the areas she has been chewing. Fast forward an hour or so I was eating and just so happened to lick my finger (I had washed my hands a few times since then) and holy crap does this stuff taste horrid! I wanted to rip my tongue out my mouth until I fully flushed my mouth out! While it did NOT work for my puppy it certainly worked for me! ALSO the owner of the company reached out to me and asked if I was satisfied I told her it did not work and she offered a FULL REFUND AND to keep the product and pass it on to a friend or family member with a pet that could use it. So all in all I'm EXTREMELY SATISFIED!

Does Not Work
0 stars. Would not recommend. Does not work at all. Sprayed on my dogs bed and she destroyed the same bed less than 8 hours later. Absolutely demolished. She started licking the bed as if she was drawn to it initially and the second we left the house she chewed her bed to pieces. It clearly did not calm her or steer her away from chewing.

Works… unless your dog is smarter than the spray
I had mixed results with this product. First, the bottle leaked during shipping and the inside packaging was pretty wet when I opened it. Not a great first impression. Also, fair warning—if you get any on your hands (or somehow near your mouth), it definitely lives up to the “bitter” claim. Lesson learned the hard way. As for effectiveness, it did seem to work initially. I sprayed it on an entry mat my dog had been chewing, and he avoided it for a short time. However, about 20 minutes later, he flipped the mat over and started chewing on the underside instead. So while the spray does seem to deter chewing on treated surfaces, it doesn’t necessarily stop the behavior entirely—especially if you have a determined (or creative) dog. Pros: Strong bitter taste (effective deterrent on contact) Easy to apply Alcohol-free formula Cons: Leaked during shipping Short-lived results in my case Doesn’t prevent workaround behavior Bottom line: This could be helpful for mild chewing issues or less persistent dogs. For more determined chewers, you may need to pair it with additional training or deterrents. Including a photo of the aftermath for reference.

Semi-Effective for short term uses.
I got this to dissuade my dog from a self soothing habit of chewing/nibbling on her front legs. It seems to work well enough when she does it. I spray it on her legs and she stops chewing, but it doesn’t seem to last more than a few hours so it’s not a long lasting solution. It doesn’t seem to work as a retained memory of unpleasant taste. She gets a blech response like she tasted something bitter and then just moves on to do something else. I suspect spraying her legs with anything else may get the same response. I do know it tastes bitter, so if you’re spraying a lot on an area, keep it away from your face, I accidentally sprayed some when she was too close to the air purifier and had an essence of it waft in my mouth as I was talking to her and it definitely doesn’t taste great. I think this might help as a supportive tool but definitely doesn’t solve the problem.

just a dab will do
this is a good product similar to one i used years ago, just applied to paw surface hair and not on skin between paws. current dog, however, decided the bitter WAS the reason for needing to lick paws, so....not sure why amazon marked this as a requested return, as I did not request a return.

Waste of money
This stuff was not effective at all, it did not stop my dogs from chewing up stuff and it was pricey. I would say don’t waste your money. I still have almost a whole bottle because I found something else to use.

Game changer for behavioral management
I have a ferociously chewing dog who eats EVERYTHING at four years old. Couches, pillows, rug, dog doors, etc. This spray has been a game changer! I tried others, but keep coming back to this one. User tip is spray the items that you do not want chewed up, daily.

Did not deter licking in my dog.
Did not work for my dog who had licked a spot and created an open sore. After wearing a head cone and having the sore to heal up we removed the cone and applied this spray. The dog started licking the spot immediately and created a new small sore. Dog not deterred from licking by this product.

Fraude

The best! At least for staffy.
For a Staffy to make this work, it's because it really works! They are professional bites and of course, it does not only come with the spray and that it. NO, it comes with a warning of: DO NOT BITE THIS! Pointing, it is also to observe it when the dog intends to bite something and move forward, not to show that one is rubbing the spray. It worked perfectly for me. It's 4 months old and worked for wires, furniture, walls, wood, for everything we wanted that didn't bite, didn't bite. At the same time, as we know that is natural behaviour, so we replace her with boxes, things she can tear, damage and she knows. I help this product a lot.

Does not work at all
Does not work at all. In fact, I think my dog quite likes it.

Doesn’t work
I bought this to prevent my dog from biting on outside exhaust vents (which he keeps tearing apart). I first tried it on a previous thing he played with by applying a lot of product. Tried it also on to other objects he keeps going back to. Result: the dog licked the sprayed parts as much as he could. Waste of money. I wish I could get reimbursed, but the product has already been opened and used…
