Smoke your meat like the pros!
Contents include the smoker which has a metal body and a small tray area to hold wood chips or spices. It also includes a small, flexible rubber hose that easily attaches to the body of the smoker. It has a battery compartment that needs 4 AA batteries (not included).How it works: after you insert your wood or spices, you need to use a lighter to light the chips. Then turn on the fan and the cool smoke starts billowing out the rubber tube. It is recommended to use a sealable bag to hold the meat and place the rubber tube in the bag. Seal the bag all the way to the hose, light your chips and turn on the fan. Smoke will fill the bag to infuse flavor into your meat, chicken, fish, or cheese.I first used the small, battery operated smoker on my dinner roast. I added Montreal Steak Spices in the chip compartment. The smoker was very easy to use. When finished, I removed the chips and cleaned with a damp cloth.I'm not s big fan of overly smoked meats, so I didn't smoke too long. I was very happy with the hint of smoke in the flavor of the meat.I'm excited to use it on chicken and cheese. I will update with my results.

Good smoking tool!
My hubby has been into smoking ribs lately and then he decided he wanted to smoke other things as well. So when I saw this little device I decided to get it for him and give it a try. I must say that for such a small item, it really works well! Very easy to use as well. My hubby loved it! We smoked cheese and bacon. Mmmm bacon! Definitely recommend this for those wanting to smoke small items. Not sure how it would do with larger items.I do wish it came with some batteries, but it was no big deal.

So far so good. Have only used it once. Does produce smoke which is easily controlled, i.e. cocktail, food.

Handy little device for when I want to add a quick hint of smoke to my food.
Functions nicely. I just take wood chunks I used to use in a smoker and chop em into little bits using a hammer and chisel or cutters. Turn on the switch, use a long stem butane lighter held just above the wood and the fan draws the flame downward to ignite the chips. I use a glass bowl turned upside down on top of the plate and slightly offset to the side with the tube stuck up under the edge. Does a good job smoking steaks this way when I don't have enough to merit firing up the Traeger.

Tube with orings melts
The product works great at making smoke. It Does get a little to warm to the point that it melted the tube with the orings. Will have to contact seller about replacement tube. Other wise an OK product.

Good little trick.
This thing is cool. I get it started before putting the smoke around my food so the fuel used to light it is not getting on my food. Stoke up a flame, blow it out and it should smoke up pretty good. I poked some holes in an old plastic food container and use it to smoke cheese, cocktails, whatever. It does the trick. Quicker than you think too. You can overdo it where it taste bad.

Unsafe for food use!
Tested this baby out last night by smoking some bourbon soaked oak on Asparagus before sous vide cooking them, it did a great job of putting out a ton of smoke, and the flavor really carried through.I am a somewhat concerned that inside the front piece they have used some kind of epoxy to cover the screws holding the wood chamber ("bowl") to the housing. So far the epoxy seemed unaffected by the first use, but it really has me questioning if chemicals in that epoxy will be vaporizing and mixing in with the smoke. It also means that the screen cannot be removed/replaced, turning this into a disposable unit that will only last as long as the screen holds up.Also the description says made from stainless steel, and judging by the weight the black bowl and front plate probably are, but the silver colored housing appears to be aluminum as it's not heavy enough to be made of steel, and has the dull reflective grain look and of sheet aluminum.Edit: I used this smoker gun again today to smoke some sea salts. I followed the instructions about not letting it run for more than 30 seconds, etc. After I finished, I noticed when I was cleaning it out, the epoxy was already deteriorating, and its not like I was scrubbing this thing hard, I was just rinsing with water and using a paper towel. Now I'm pissed because its very likely the salts I just smoked are contaminated and will need to be throw out.This really sucks because the price is right and it puts out a ton of smoke, but with the mystery epoxy coming off this really should not be considered safe to use with smoking any foods or beverages!Edit 2: As I was packaging this up to send back, I was looking at the inner housing again and comparing to the photos I took after the first use, and its now very clear that the epoxy didn't just scrub off during cleaning, it liquefied/vaporized and redeposited in the lower corner edge near the smoke exit hole (see 3rd/4th pics). Absolutely unacceptable, I wish I could give this zero stars

We bought this for my dad for father's day and tried it out that day. It cranked a ton of smoke out right as we lit it. It didn't come with directions, but we watched the attached videos and it was super easy. We tried smoking several things and it was crazy how little time it took to get that smokey flavor.

Endlich Rauchgeschmack ohne Smoker
The media could not be loaded. Ich habe leider keinen Smoker aber wollte trotzdem nicht auf den rauchigen Geschmack bei z.B. Pulled Pork aus dem Sous Vide verzichten. Bei so einer Räucherpistole war ich etwas skeptisch und vor dem Kauf habe ich mir ein paar Youtube-Videos angeschaut. Die Ergebnisse in den Videos waren akzeptabel und somit entschied ich mich für den Kauf.Die Räucherpistole ist kinderleicht zu bedienen. Man tut etwas “Späne” in die Kammer, schaltet den Ventilator ein und zündet die Späne an.Bei der Zubereitung von Pulled Pork (1kg) habe ich 5 Durchläufe gemacht. Das hat etwa 30 Minuten gedauert. Dabei habe ich das Fleisch auf einen Teller gelegt und mit einer Schüssel abgedeckt. Anschließend gesmoked und gewartet, bis sich der Rauch fast komplett aufgelöst hat, dann wieder gesmoked usw.Das Ergebnis war ganz gut. Das Fleisch hatte einen rauchigen Geschmack. Klar, es hatte keinen Smoke-Ring aber leichter Geschmack war da. Man kann es nicht mit einem richtigen Smoker vergleichen, aber mal schnelles smoken finde ich es toll.Die Räucherpistole sollte man nicht in der Wohnung verwenden. Zum einen wegen dem starken Geruch und zum anderen wegen den Rauchmeldern. Ich nutze die Smoke Gun auf dem Balkon und das funktioniert sehr gut.Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden und freue mich schon auf die nächste Smoking Runde.

Prima Esperienza di affumicatore a freddo, che fico!
Non conoscevo questo tipo di prodotti ma vedendo dei video su youtube mi sono interessato.Ho comprato questo perchè su amazon è il più venduto e sembrava fatto bene.Devo dire che è arrivato in 2gg e che nonostante avevo paura di rovinarlo per il primo utilizzo, sono riuscito in pochissimi minuti ad aprirlo e capire che è vermente un prodotto essenziale fatto di pochissime parti metalliche e robuste. Infatti una volta inserite le batterie basta solo accederlo per vedere che la ventolina interna comincia a girare velocemente. Per utilizzarlo basta mettere il truciolato (per uso alimentare NON fornito) nell'apposito buco, collegare il tubo e inserirlo in un recipiente con il cibo a questo punto per vedere il fumo basta accendere il dispositivo e con un accendino avvicinare la fiamma al truciolato per farlo prendere. Il truciolato dura qualche minuto ma è sufficiente a generare il fumo necessario per fare ciò che deve, infatti consiglio di ripetere l'operazione a distanza di 30 minuti per assicurarsi un aroma più deciso, anche più volte. Come evidenziato da altri utenti in questo prodotto non è fornita alcuna retina di protezione del vano di comubustione, immagino perchè non sia necessaria ma per evitare problemi e aumentarne la durata nel tempo io ho comprato della retina metallica a rotoli dal ferramenta o un vecchio paraschizzi da cucina e ritagliandola ad hoc, ho creato delle base di protezione per il piccolo vano dove andate ad inserire il truciolato. Funziona tutto lo stesso ma non si sporca, si pulisce meglio e dura di più. Ho utilizzato questo affumicatore solo 2 volte ed ha funzionato perfettamente. Il fumo ovviamente non cuoce il prodotto ecco perchè si dice a freddo ma lascia impresso il classico aroma di affumicato....entusiasmante vedere che con un piccolo attrezzo come questo si riesce a dare un tocco professionale al cibo.

Per affumicare a freddo
Lo uso ormai da più di 2 anni, su consiglio di un ragazzo che fa corsi per griller.Il dispositivo è fatto veramente bene, non è per niente una cinesata; lo uso per affumicare soprattutto formaggi come la ricotta o il camembert, ma anche il salmone e addirittura si possono fare dei "cocktail affumicati" che sono spettacolari da presentare agli ospiti. È facile da usare, bastano pochissimi trucioli da mettere nel bruciatore, con un accendino gli si da fuoco, si accende l'interruttore della girante e in un secondo esce il fumo dalla cannetta. Il fumo va lasciato pochi secondi (20 circa) sotto il coperchio del cibo, poi va aperto altrimenti è come mangiare un posacenere. Appena utilizzato si sentirà odore di fumo per pochi minuti nella stanza ma poi passa subito.Per pulirlo basta svuotare il bruciatore.Non occupa spazio, lo si può conservare in un cassetto.

Ich habe die Tage ein Video von Bekannten aus den USA über die Zubereitung eines geräucherten T-Bone Steak - mit Räucherpistole, erhalten. Sie waren absolut begeistert und das Fleisch sah großartig aus. Seitdem ist mir die Räucherpistole nicht mehr aus dem Kopf gegangen.Ich finde es mehr als genial in kälteren Jahreszeit nicht draußen Grillen zu müssen, sondern das Fleisch einfach in der Wohnung zu räuchern und dabei den gleichen Geschmack zu erzielen.Und so gehts:Das Fleisch einschweißen und nach der Sous Vide Methode im Wasserbad vorgaren. Tipp: Hierzu gibt es einige YouTube Videos. Wichtig ist allerdings, dass die Temperatur des Wassers konstant bleibt. Am besten misst man das mit einem Thermometer.Anschließend wird das Fleisch in der Pfanne scharf angebraten. Zu guter letzt gibt man das Fleisch für 5 Minuten in eine Schüssel, über die man eine Klarsichtfolie spannt, damit der Rauch nicht entweichen kann. Und fertig ist das geräucherte und perfekt gegarte Fleisch 😍. Ich habe es die Tage selbst probiert. Es schmeckt großartig.Außerdem bin ich absolut begeistert von der Räucherpistole. Sie funktioniert einwandfrei und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Auch die Bedienung funktioniert intuitiv.Bitte vergesst nicht, dass die Pistole ohne Spähne bzw. Räucherwerk nicht funktioniert 😊. Laut der Aussage meiner Bekannten hängt der Geschmack des Geräucherten auch sehr stark von der Wahl des Räucherwerks ab. Falls es also nicht so wird, wie ihr es euch vorstellt, einfach mal die Spähne wechseln und erneut probieren 😊.

Si sporca, ma funziona benone.
Facile da utilizzare. Basta mettere dei trucioli nel bracere, accendere il motore ed avvicinare una fiamma che in un attimo si genera un intenso fumo a bassa temperatura.Purtroppo devo dire che con un po' di utilizzo diventa non facile da pulire dai residui, perché il fumo passa proprio nella ventola, lasciando dei condensati. A volte se non si usa per un certo periodo, bisogna forzare la ventola perché tende a bloccarsi per il solidificarsi dei condensati.Comunque basta mettere le cose da affumicare in un co tenitore con sopra una campana o del domopack ed è fatta.Ad ogni modo, è un prodotto che uso e ricomprerei.Spero possa esservi utile la mia recensione.
