We have had this device for 10 days. So far I'm impressed with the build quality, ease of use and performance. Standout features are the high quality stainless steel cooking pot, the intuitive touch screen controls and the super quiet operation. Being the Pro version it has an extra pressure level - the MAX level in addition to LOW & HIGH. The device is eerily quiet even when in pressure cook mode - so quiet that it's easy to forget that it is actually in use! Having used stove top pressure cookers for over 40 years this is completely different experience. Once the desired pressure has been reached I can only assume that the heating element immediately ramps down to the minimum input required to maintain the pressure. There is no detectible hiss of escaping steam in the cooking phase, no cooking smells and consequently no loss of flavour. The rice setting is configured for white rice but with adjustments to the settings it cooks brown rice very well in half the time of a specialist rice cooker. It makes decent porridge and has proved excellent for cooking whole beetroots in a steamer basket (purchased separately). Pressure cooking on the zero minutes setting is an excellent shortcut for achieving steamed vegetables in a fraction of the time - very useful for Kale as it gives consistent results without the need for keeping an eye on the process. We haven't investigated the wi-fi functionality and there's a lot more to learn about this device but so far it's been flawless and looks set to be a firm favourite that will be in regular use.

Feels very premium and works so well. It’s insanely quiet. It makes absolutely no noise while pressure cooking. It’s shocking! Works really well, easy to use, with videos with instructions. Overall great product. The stainless steel bowl is massive and sturdy. The sauté feature is very nice and powerful. I even ordered the glass lid because some modes don’t work if the regular lid is on even if not locked. The normal lid is also too chunky so the glass one has been perfect for use cases that don’t need pressure.

Excellent product and a definite improvement on its previous model. I no longer have to guess when to use the release button as it does this automatically. The food is cooked superbly well from meat (for my dog) to legumes and vegetables, nothing is ever over done. Whilst the cooked chicken remains tender, the vegetables and legumes retain their shape and are just perfectly done. Really impressed with the newer and more elegant look design as it fits my needs perfectly. Definitely recommend.

It's bigger than I expected, but generally a really good kitchen tool replacing our rice cooker and slow cooker as well as acting as casserole. On the plus side the controls are super intuitive, the pot is really well made and the variety of programmes strong. On the minus side it does take a surprisingly long time to preheat given the stated power, and isn't particularly brilliant as a rice cooker with grains sticking to the bottom plate far to easily. Good value overall though.

High quality, easy to use, best multicooker I have ever had. Perfect size for 2-3 person. Also love the recipies as well. Pre programmed functions and setting just makes your life easier. Sturdy easy to mantain and clean.

Amazing all in one. Saves you time, effort and money. The safe stainless steel non-stick pot is a huge plus. My wife loves it and its a huge plus for me for choosing the right one.

We moved to this as an apparent upgrade from an alternative cheaper manufacturer. Sadly, this is definitely a downgrade. Despite persevering for months thinking we must be doing something wrong, it constantly warns about food burning. On lucky days when this doesn’t happen, it can take literally 30 to 40 minutes to reach the pressure where it starts to count down. Needless to say, we are very disappointed and it now sits as a useless cupboard ornament. In my opinion, save yourself the expense and go for a cheaper brand. We had our previous ones for at least 5 years each without any issues. This one is being discarded after a couple of very frustrating months.

Bought for the slow-cook function (to replace a dead slow cooker). On my first cooking attempt, like other reviewers, I was concerned about the lengthy pre-heating prior to cooking. I contacted Instant Pot via their website and received the most helpful and personal reply (definitely not AI - a really kind and caring person called Bea). I followed her instructions and enjoyed a perfect melt-in-the-mouth slow-cooked beef casserole. I'm now reassured that the pre-heat function is part of the cooking process. If you set it for 6 hours it will pre-heat for 4 hours and then go into cook-mode for the final 2 hours. I'm still wearing my "L" plates (it's a bit like learning to drive a car) and getting to grips with all the other functions. I've learned when using sauté not to have the heat too high (choose from one of the four customizable settings) as there is a tendency for ingredients to stick in the bottom of the excellent quality stainless steel pot. It deglazes easily enough. Have just used pressure cook for the first time ever: defrosted minced beef and pork (25 mins), removed from pot; cleaned pot; sautéed vegetables; introduced defrosted meats; added a tin of tomatoes and tomato puree, herbs and a glug of port and (with a little trepidation) set it to pressure cook for 5 mins. Perfectly cooked and tastes delicious. That's Spag Bol for dinner tonight - and possibly the next three! I could almost have given up on my new Instant Pot but am pleased to have persevered - the pressure cook option might well become my go-to food prep from now on. Just to add it's a quality piece of kit and sits nicely on the worktop ready for use and has a smaller footprint that my previous slow cooker. It's easy to clean and with a bit more trial and error I'm sure it won't disappoint. Don't give up on your Instant Pot. I'm glad I didn't.

Lid for pressure cooking is not locking... Went through all the possible tutorials/guides/etc. Nothing helps. Lid just won't lock when pressure cooking. Even replaced the silicone with a new one. Looks like the lid or something else is defective.

Came without steaming rack. Am I supposed to buy it separately?

I couldn’t believe that a pressure cooker could work without making any noise! Once the cooking time is complete, it stays completely silent. After the “Ready” sign appears on the screen, there’s no noise at all.
