GE General Electric, H7 MegaLight Ultra +130 %, set of 2 lights PX26d 58520XNU

I like these bulbs, but they do not last very long.I have a lot of previous experience with these bulbs and I get normally 1 winters worth of use which is only around 3 months driving of 1 hour a day in the dark over a 5 day week, so they last around just 60 hours, not great in my opinion.I normally buy from Halfords, but thought I would try Amazon, sadly I was a bit shocked that they arrived in an package which allows them to be shook around, and had no protection as such , against being crushed, the bulbs were rattling around inside the cardboard manufacturers box banging against each other, the bulb boxes were then just inside an Amazon box, again easily crushed.With all the shaking and banging together, I really wonder if they will now last very long at all and for the price, is it worth just getting them from Halfords if they are indeed damaged in transit.We shall see.

They are excellent. Previously tried Halfords 130%+ and other makes but was still getting poor distance lighting, especially on full beam. I purchased 2 pairs for dipped and full beam for my S204 Mercedes. LED bulbs on my Mercedes are a no go due to canbus and error codes.These bulbs are a doddle to install. Light is whiter than standard, and good visibility into verges and good throw on full beam.Highly recommended.

Replaced the standard bulbs in my 2011 BMW 5 series.They are better. A little brighter and a little whiter. But don’t expect huge gains.I will buy these bulbs again when they need replacing.

Bright and cover the road well,a good bulb ,well worth the moneyAs always I would like them brighter,who wouldn’t?

Only gave fours stars because I haven't had the bulbs in long enough to see how long they last. Quality and illumination superb and are good value👍Recommended.

I am extremely disappointed with these lamps because I have experienced that this lamp has an extremely low lifespan, I fitted this set of lamps, correctly using latex gloves and not contaminating the glass less than 6 months ago and have done very little night driving this year due to illness, just local stuff, but today I was shocked when only 2 days after the last GE lamp blew I have found myself already with 2 blown lamps from a brand I thought would be a good all round performer.I have calculated that my headlamps have only been on for 60 hours so this is simply not good enough, especially at the inflated high price which I paid for these lamps,Putting into context over 5 years ago I bought genuine Renault recommended Bosch replacement lamps from amazon for under £8 for a pair and they lasted well over 5 years which included some intense night driving over them 5 plus years and even then 1 lamp was still good, however 1 had blown and I wanted a matching pair so I ordered what I thought would be good lamps when I replaced the pair less than 6 months ago for these GE lamps.BUYING THESE GE Megalight Ultra H7 WAS A MISTAKE AND I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT THEM, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GE MEGALIGHT ULTRA AS THEY ARE VERY SHORT LIFE LAMPS AND ALSO EXTREMELY OVER PRICED COMPARED TO MY OLD SIMILAR PERFORMING LAMPS.I did like the colour, the beam pattern was as good as oem and the lamps were at least as bright as my old oem lamps and the GE visually give good light although it is debatable the claimed 130% extra light is real as I ABSOLUTELY see NO more light than the oem recommended lamps so maybe this 130% extra light is not actually in a location on the road that matters or makes any noticeable difference or any more useable over standard oem lamps.My recommendation is to avoid GE Lamps as they are over priced with very poor life performance, a gimmick that I have fallen for. You need to trust your lamps are going to last and get you home and last longer than 60 hours, I cannot and will never trust GE Again.GOOD LUCK IF YOU BUY THESE LAMPS.

These halogen dipped-beam upgrade bulbs really do give a brighter, whiter light on the road. Light definition is sharp, hopefully meaning less dazzle for oncoming drivers, and less eye strain on a long night drive. Auto Express magazine rates these as the 'Best Halogen Upgrade Bulbs 2018'. How long they will last compared to normal halogen bulbs remains to be seen, but at around £25 for a pair, they're much cheaper and easier than changing to HID headlights.

Strong white light. Installed more than one year ago and still working. They have definitely much better light than standard halogen bulbs. Will buy them again!
