This is perfect! It's just what I wanted, and was so easy to put together! All you need is a phillips screwdriver. I would NOT use a drill! There is glue included, which I did not use, and it still turned out fine. Unless you plan on manhandling this or dragging it around, you may not need the glue. I was concerned about it arriving damaged, or being a pain to assemble. It arrived very well packaged - no damage. It took me an hour and a half to put it together by myself, with multiple interruptions from my children. Everything lined up well, the pre-drilled holes were all perfect. I've had issues before assembling furniture with missing parts, or drawers not gliding properly, but this was so simple, and everything was just right. I read some negative reviews on this product. Maybe I just happened to get a good one, but my experience was perfect! The color is much darker than what I saw in the description, which is fine, because it matches my other furniture nicely. To me, the color in the online photos looks like a milk chocolate. I would say this is definitely a dark walnut. It has a very nice wood grain look, even for "fake" furniture. I tried very hard to capture the true color of this, but my camera is terrible! This is a very sturdy tv stand, but not super heavy. Also, you could assemble this without putting the feet on the bottom, if you needed something lower.

Got this for my daughter's first apartment. Know the brand as being well engineered, with quality components. LOTS of pieces, and expect a couple of hours of putting it all together. However, when you're done, you have a really fine looking piece of furniture that is exceptionally strong, and able to support your TV and gear without any worries. BIG shelf for speakers, DVR, etc., top shelf has plenty of room for up to a 42" TV and soundbar. 2 large drawers for 'stuff', and clever DVD shelves on either endcap to maximize storage:footprint ratio. If you need a great looking TV stand for a smaller area, that is truly sturdy and has lots of storage, this is a keeper

This item while having many pieces went together easy and looks great, providing plenty of room and storage. You do have to be careful assembling it as some of the wood pegs when glued in and starting to dry may be enough to crack the particle board and the cheap laminate will split, nothing a hammer and some black marker couldn't cover, although if I do it again I would save the glue on the dowels until the pieces go together. also the overall depth is 16" but the shelf space is only 14" or so and my 5 disc DVD player hangs out an inch and a half. My only real gripe is the first stand I recieved had a hole through the box and the top board where the TV sits, which I only found out after taking all the other 50 or so pieces out of the box. while most retailers would file a claim with UPS and have a new top piece set to me so I could assemble it and use it with the top piece loose for a few days until I got a new one, Amazon in all there wisdom wanted all 50+ pieces put back in the box and sent back to them, leaving me for several days without a TV stand I had already waited a week for. They did sent out a replacement next day air, but I had to wait the weekend and into tuesday for it. I would have gladly sent back the top broken piece alone when I got a new one, and I was tempted to assemble the whole thing and use it until the replacement came and send it back assembled sans the box. In summary great stand for the money, but amazon could use some work with their returns process.

1. The console arrived one day sooner than the estimated arrival date. That impressed me. The UPS driver even set the box inside for me. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. 2. The packing box appeared battered from shipping. I feared the console itself may have sustained damage. After opening the box, I realized that the console had been well packed. Full length sheets of Styrofoam protected the upper and lower console pieces. Smaller pieces were also protected with Styrofoam. Scrap wood protected both ends of the box. The sides of the box were protected with heavy-weight cardboard. I was impressed with the packaging. The console arrived undamaged. 3. The console was easy to assemble. Each piece carried a sticker / label corresponding with directions. It took me several hours to assemble, not from difficulty, but because I was tired and didn't want to make foolish errors. I kept going back to the instructions to assure myself that I was correctly assembling it. 4. I like the style. It looks like the picture on the website. The color is good, in the range I wanted. The finish on the top is different, shiny in some spots and dull in others. It could be better. But for the money, I can live with it. Once the TV is placed on top, it won't be that noticeable. Overall I'm quite satisfied. 5. Humorous Note: I first opened an end of the box. The piece I saw was a grayish color and I wanted a brown-tone. All I could think was, "Crap, either I ordered the wrong color or they shipped the wrong item. This thing is too heavy and cumbersome to return." Then I turned the piece over and saw the sticker stating, "ONLY FOR PACKAGING". Relief washed over me and I had a good laugh.

I had been looking for a tv stand for a few weeks and came across multiple options between Amazon and Overstock. I ultimately chose this one and couldn't be happier. The stand is extremely solid, good quality, looks great, and fits perfectly into the room. The picture is extremely accurate in my opinion. I put it together myself (solo) with no problems though I have done this before so have experience with putting furniture like this together. The only trouble was when I place the top piece on, its a tight solid fit with the pegs and bolts so it had to go down evenly which was a little challenging. One of the doors on the front drawer is a little off kilter so its a tight squeeze on one corner but I think I can fix that myself if I want. You can't tell by looking at it and it closes fine. The stand was on Overstock for $200 but on Amazon for $150 and as a prime member it was a no-brainer. The only improvement I would make is that the space for the electronics is kind of tall and I'd rather it have a shelf there for two levels instead of just one big compartment. However, I can always just stack the DVD player on the cable box or buy a shelf or something to stick in there somehow. If you think this looks good for you, it is a sure bet.

Definitely took several hours to put together. A couple of steps the pictures were slightly off so that led to a little confusion but just stopped that step and came back to it later and figure it out when it came to assembling based on future pictures. I like the way the unit looks but it is definitely not solid when trying to move it around I am worried it will bust. As another reviewer said, better to place it and leave it. I think overall it should hold up in one place and with careful consideration if it has to be moved. The box it comes in is super heavy! I had to get help to bring it in. I opened it upstairs and took the pieces in groups downstairs to the location I wanted it to be in so it was more manageable. It looks fairly nice. I just wish it was more solid when it was assembled and that is why I gave it only 3 stars.

Really nice TV stand. It does take a long time to put together and there are some diagram mistakes. Step 3 is way off...don't drill any new holes on the doors --- just go with the predrilled holes. Some of our small DVD shelves had a 20 sticker when they were actually 29. But you can figure that out. The biggest thing to watch out for is putting the two front magnetic door holders on. That is where the instructions show them differently than the predrilled holes. Like I said, go with the predrilled holes. This is definitely worth the assembly time. I did it by myself over a couple of days after work. My wife absolutely loves it! P.s. -- I will say, the screws to put the bottom of the stand on are a real pain. They give you this little wrench and it stripped out on me (both sides both sides of the wrench). I was not able to get three of the 9 or so screws flush. Not a problem and you folks are the only ones that will know as you can't see them!

I really like this stand. It looks great ( looks more expensive than it was ) and is sturdy. I put it together by myself (it took me at least 3-4 hours.) It had all the parts easy to read instructions. I like the drawers under the shelf and the book shelves at each end. My opinion is it was well worth the money. It it heavy and I put part of the shelves together in the area it was delivered and carried that part to the area it was going to be used. Then brought in the rest of it to that area. I finished putting it together there and was able to slide the TV over to the shelf from my old shelves. Now it is up and running..I would have not been able to carry this in from a store out of my trunk and so on...this worked great and I like the quality. Stable and good looking.
