I have used this on two outings to my local airport and been able to start/stop video recording and zoom in and out using this remote only. This has allowed me to maintain a smooth panning motion as I dont have to get my hands on the camera to zoom. The zoom control is a bit fast but i am able to slow this with careful handling. Having shot nearly fours hours of video, I am very pleased with the purchase
