what is the height from the base to the bottom of the laptop? Is it suit for standing to use?

Its max height is about 21 inches, so you can comfortably work in standing or sitting positions.

Is there a lock button to hold the pivot stable without wobble when typing?

While there is no "lock" button, it is very sturdy and you can type on it. However, we suggest using an external keyboard and mouse so you can type efficiently without the laptop keyboard being wobbly.

Can this laptop stand be folded to facilitate travel?

Yes, it only 2.13 inch when folded. Perfect for easy storage.

Does it swivel both ways? Can the base swivel be locked if I want it to stay in a fixed position?

It swivels both ways. You cannot lock it, but the base won't rotate without considerable effort.

Can I lubricate or loosen the hinges to make it easier to adjust?

The construction is pretty tight at the junctions so it protects your laptop from slipping and falling off. Lubrication may make the stand wobbly.
