Good solid wall safe
This is a good solid product.Shipped well packed and protected. No dents or scratches. The unit has fairly thick steel case - that would be difficult and time consuming to cut through. It comes with substantial bolts that bolt into the wall framing in 6-8 places. It would be a lot of work to rip this out of the wall.PROS: - The unit sticks out from the wall 2". This give the interior an extra 2" of depth (~5.5" vs ~3.5" of competing units) - this is pretty critical space making this unit hold 30-40% more than units that are flush. - The main lock does not require a key. It's just a combo code - very fast for unlocking. In the event of an emergency, you won't be searching around for a key - Attractive - looks good in a high-end home.CONS: - The combo lock is a little flimsy - only locks at one point (in the middle of the cabinet) with a fairly small bolt. Could someone pry this open - not sure?? Probably with enough effort. To supplement this, V-line added additional keyed locks at the top and bottom of the unit - if you lock the two extra keyed locks and the middle combo lock, you have the cabinet locked in 3 places, and have a higher level of security, but then you really defeat the purpose of not needing a key. They really ought to re-engineer the combo lock to lock in 3 places.

3 rifles
dunno how many yer supposed to be able to store in here but i've got a remington 30-06, 20gauge 870 & my ar-15 (w mag in well) & i'd be hard pressed to get another long gun in there. good thing that's all i've got. i wouldn't hesitate to get another one if/when i get more guns. fits great between studs & low profile so doesn't take up big footprint in closet.also wanna mention that i screwed up programming the entry code (door open fortunately) so i sent the whole mechanism back to the company & they reset it for free & sent it back the next day. great customer service!

Keep your guns ready but safe
The V-Line Closet Vault is large enough for two large long guns (think pistol grips, large magazines, or optics) plus has extra room for additional items with the optional storage accessoriesPROs:1) Easy to install with a between studs (16" on center, 14.5" between studs) with just a drywall saw, tape measure, and level.2) Easily concealed in closet.3) Quick access via 5-button key pad.CONs:1) Combination lock in center does not secure vault as well as it could; seems a like it could be pried open. To combat this, V-Line put additional locks at the top and bottom for greater security when quick access is not important.

I really want to like it
I really want to like it.. Its low profile, totally out of the way in my closet. I got 3 long guns in it with mags: ar15, gun site scout & a rem 870 tactical. Plus a few valuables on the shelf. I used thicker (1/2"), longer lag bolts that the ones supplied and had to slightly widen the mounting holes. But the it feels way over priced for what you get. Its not its not as heavy duty as I expected and the shelf is separate? wtf..

Solid product, short on accessories
The product is solid and well made. It is very easy to install. The shipment is fast. However, for the price it is really short on accessories. It came without a single shelf or any other accessories. The pegboard door panel was not included either. It is just a empty shell. As a matter of fact, they did not even pack enough screws for installation. The closet has total eight mounting holes. There are only six screws included in the package. The picture of the product is a bit misleading.

Not what I expected
The unit itself is nice, ergonomic and fits well into the decor of the room. The combination lock on the unit doesn't work. It came with factory instructions on how to set up your personal combination. I tried to do it following those instructions and it failed. I got a replacement unit, replaced the lock and tried to program it and it failed again. I ended up not using that lock to my disappointment, just use the other two with the key.

big $$$ crappy push button lock
the pushbutton lock broke day one and the factory won't call back with assistance. they did call back to sell me some shelves and gun hooks that totaled over $300! I scrounged up some hardware to get the job done for 0$ - otherwise a nice in-wall gun "safe" that is probably at least $100 overpriced

Great storage accessory
I like this unit because I could hide it right in the wall between two studs. Can only fit 3 long guns (accessorized) but provides quick access. Secure storage a must to prevent unauthorized access to firearms.

I see that they have made a newer model with a 3 point locking system which should be much better. Very expensive for what you g
Locking system is very limited without using extra locks and keys. I see that they have made a newer model with a 3 point locking system which should be much better. Very expensive for what you get.
