Motorola G84 5G, 12GB RAM+256 GB Storage, Midnight Blue

I used to be a top 100 reviewer here on Amazon, but pulled away once the constant 'free product for good review' emails piled in and never stopped. I now only review items I've bought myself and think are worth firing up my laptop for. This phone has done just that. Last week I bought a Samsung A23 as a replacement for another ageing Samsung but was totally disappointed with it (poor camera, washed out screen colours etc.) Amazon's excellent customer support took 5 minutes to offer a refund and I decided, after a lot of research to plonk for this Motorola. What a difference. It arrived in its own clear protective rear case, which, when removed allows you to feel the faux leather back of the phone which, classy as it is, makes for comfortable safe handling. There is also a dedicated Motorola mains charger and usb C lead (try and find that on other models). Straight out of the box it took 20 minutes to go from 50% battery to full, and using the lead provided, the wired phone to phone transfer of data was the most effective I have ever had on any phone and on a par with Apples ease of use. Everything brought over flawlessly in less than 15 minutes. The screen is absolutely superb and the camera provides ultra crisp images front and rear, I haven't yet tried videos but I expect them to be just as good. Sound? Stereo Dolby Atmos, and very effective. All in all, from the serious disappointment of the Samsung, I've morphed into a very happy customer. I'll be back to let you know if anything goes wrong in the next 12 months, Summary? Slim, classy, massive ram and storage, screen up there with phones costing three and four times as much and ultra crisp photos from both cameras. I'm glad I bought it. Replaced my Samsung as cracked screen and wanted a change. The spec on this phone looked impressive for the money and the majority of reviews where positive. So took a chance and don't regret it at all. Compared to some phones costing 3 or 4 times as much, I cannot fault the performance so far. Reasonably easy to set up and as all the functions I need. The camera is good good, sound excellent and speed of operation is quick. The fast charge is brilliant. Finally it looks great. If you're a phone conisour, like to be ultra fashionable, then pay over £800 plus for something that won't be much better.

UPDATE: After trying different chargers, the only downside of this phone is charging times. It takes long compared to my older Oneplus phone. Original charger takes around 40-50 mins and other chargers take more than that. I have used many Android phones in the past and I am an advanced user. This device is great on every aspect. Screen is brilliant, colors are vivid. Good viewing from every angle since it is OLED. Battery holds well. Also I like how the back side is plastic instead of metal. Makes it lighter and I always use a cover so it doesnt matter. Also I love Android stock. I have used MIUI and Oxygen from Oneplus. they are usually buggy and limit some options, but this stock Android 14 is great. The only annoyance is when you first setup the phone it installs many stupid games which I had to immediately uninstall.

The phone looks good, does everything asked of it efficiently and has a reassuring smoothness in operation. Very good battery life too. It has all the usual connectivity you would expect of a modern phone, including NFC which is great for contactless payments (and needed to access my office building!). The camera is fine..........but nothing spectacular. Sound is quite good though. I also have an iPhone which is a better phone in all respects, but cost about £600 more than the Motorola. The Motorola has a number of shortcut features which I love. Three fingers on the screen to take a screenshot is my favourite, which I use a lot. Well worth the money, and as a bonus it comes with a fast charger.

Did an awful lot of research before buying this handset (reviews, YouTube videos etc) and the majority seem to say this phone is worth it. One,it has a clean Android experience. Two , it has vast memory space and three it has an SD card slot (for those of us who have media from various applications saved and purchased). Also for me the cost was another plus point (£199), for a phone that could have cost an awful lot more a couple of years ago. Performs well considering it's ageing chipset and the battery is almost as strong as the Poco X4 5g that I previously owned. The only niggle that I really have with this phone is that the volume could be a bit louder and sharper, particularly when listening to music through headphones (limited audio options maybe?). However, that's a small thing in an overall excellent package.

Great phone. Quick. Doesn't get laggy. Screen is bright and clear. Dual SIM. NFC. Nice size in the hand. Good sound on calls. Pairs to everything without fuss. All the latest Android bits and bobs. The battery can be great or it can be fussy - definitely not more than 2 days off a full charge. And not as good as my old Moto G8. And I don't use the 5G at all. And the cameras are nothing special. Fine for up close but not once you need zoom. As a workorse I can't imagine needing anything more from a phone really, except better battery performance.

I loved this phone, fast, but 1 problem, I had to return it. There is a delay whilst using earphones wired, between the phone, music and singing. U normally get that with Bluetooth but not wired. So disappointing loved the phone. UPDATE From what I've read, this is a common issue with this model, people are also having problems with the Bluetooth ie wireless headphones. Apparently Motorola knew about these issues at least 6 months ago. But don't seem to be doing anything about it. I can't find any updates from Motorola. The g84 should have been recalled for this issue. But there still selling it. It is a good phone apart from, the jack problem. No good for me. Motorola should sort it. Simple. I was going to buy the g54 instead, but decided against it, at the end of the day if Motorola don't care. Then why should I give them my custom. Amazon shame on you making people wait 14 days for a refund on an item that's not fit for purpose. I didn't say I'll pay you in 14 days when purchasing.

So my past five phones have all been Motorolas. I really like them, because they are not too expensive but have some of the better features that their more expensive competitors offer. It's a smart looking device and the screen is really bright, which is great because on its predecessor, I could barely see the screen when outside. Not so with this one! Camera is a bit meh... don't expect amazing quality but it's still fairly decent. Sound is good too, and on the whole I would recommend this phone for someone who wants a mobile that's more than basic, but not ridiculously complex to use.

Got the UK set via an Amazon Marketplace seller. Cheap phone given it's features. It's only slightly wider than the Xperia 10 III by about 1cm. VoLTE and 5G works on Singtel prepaid. NFC payments can be made in Singapore.

Das Display ist sehr brilliant und der Akku ist sehr schnell aufgeladen, dank des großen Netzteils. Auch sind die aufgenommenen Bilder von guter Qualität.

Dopo alcuni mesi di utilizzo posso dire che il prodotto è molto buono, soprattutto considerando il costo. Il display è molto luminoso con colori vivi. L'hardware è ottimo e non presenta mai problemi di velocità e/o di crash del sistema. Unica pecca, forse presente solo sul mio telefono perché in rete non ho trovato notizie, è data dal bluetooth che esce a volume basso, ovvero durante le chiamate mi sentono molto lontano quando sono collegato a qualsiasi periferica bluetooth, che sia il vivavoce dell'autoradio o auricolari. Problema che non mi hanno sistemato nemmeno con l'assistenza che ritengo del tutto inefficace.

La batería no dura ,pérdida de dinero

fonctionne très bien, rapport qualité très bien, a voir dans le temps.
