Few home theater projectors have an audio output, so a device like this is the only way I know to extract audio to feed to your sound system. This unit works great. I'm using 4 of the 5 inputs. Satellite receiver, Blu-ray player, streaming box and my audio amp. I recommend this product.

When it works, it works well.The problem for mine may be either my tv or my playstation. Sony stopped issuing their consoles with dedicated soundboard so all they have for output is HDMI, I have a legacy audio receiver dolby 5.1 I prefer to play games through so I bought this to split audio off the HDMI (I had another that worked well but didnt support HDR).I think either my TV or my Playstation 5 Pro has some sort of issue consistently recognizing HDR compatibility because the ps5 will show that my tv doesnt support hdr and will not give any video. I'll often have to move cords around between ports multiple times to finally get the video to show. Otherwise, it works well as intended.

It’s the perfect solution for older TVs to have ARC, which is excellent for multiple inputs from devices into the hub. It works seamlessly. I love it.

i had to remove my mini htpc out of this device because when i would switch to it the only way to get sound out of it from its optical out was to physically change the front audio switch to another setting and back — super annoyingso now i switch between game console fire stick and raspberry pi fine with this thing — but use tv remote to switch to my second tv hdmi for the htpcas you might guess that maee the optical out on this useless but by sheer luck the tv has one so in the end i used that and it works fine for all devices to my receivera flawed product even though i keep using it

I hooked it up by HDMI from PS5 to device in 1, then HDMI out from device to monitor or TV. Fiber obtic from device to surround sound. A must buy,

Works as intended and has a remote to switch between each. It’s pretty useful and I needed it for the aux port. Works so well. Plugged in my Xbox and my PC and it’s 100% exactly what I expected. Worth the price and super easy to use.Quality hasn’t suffered from the old one I was using
