Replacement Difficulty
I like the price compared to buying a new $500-$1000 device. I am a DIY person depending on what it is. I am not good at tech repair, and I have broken devices trying to fix them. I was scared to break my Nexus 6p over a battery replacement, but I could not find a local repair. I refused to spend money on a new device. Therefore, I watched a YouTube video, bought the hobby knife and cards, and began the battery replacement process. I did not know how long to heat the first pieces that get removed. Apparently, I did not heat enough because the back case cracked some, and I dinged up the case and scratched it. I only bent up the playing cards. Then I cracked the glass on the camera lens frame. It was a mess of broken glass that stuck to everything. The tools in the kit with the battery were perfectly suited, but did not include the razor knife. The battery was a bear to remove, and I was not sure what I could hold onto or touch while using the pry tools to get the old battery out. This was hard work. Everything went back together easily. I had to buy the camera lens frame case, so my device is a bit vulnerable until it arrives. The new battery is charging to full right now. It was at 20% when I turned on the device.I recommend reading and watching DIY videos before doing your own replacement, if you have never done anything like this. After watching the DIY on the removal of the camera lens cover, I realized how to do what the battery replacement video did not tell me, so the more information and tools you gather, the better your results.I was resigned to the fact that I break devices, and this one might have to be trashed, but I was successful; it looks like I have a new device for under $50 when all the parts I bought are totaled. That is a good deal for a thrifty person like myself.

Battery bloat after ~1 year
No complaints except that after about 11 months, the battery became filled with a gas and bloated. Even with the screws being in, the bloated battery popped the screen out enough that the power and volume buttons were no longer functional unless I squished the phone together.I opened the phone again to investigate, which caused the connector that goes over the battery to become undone. The battery was too bloated to reconnect it, making the battery not chargeable anymore. For $15, one year of use is acceptable, just understand that this battery will not last as long as the original.

Lasts longer than the original and works well, but it does not fast charge.
The original Huawei battery charges at 5v, 3a max. This battery does not, but it has restored the performance and quality to my phone in everything else. That is why it gets 4 stars. If it fast charged it would get 5 stars.

New lease of life for my Nexus 6P
I'm posting this after using this battery kit for a couple of months to give it a fair review. As a Nexus 6p owner, everyone knows the dreaded battery problem. It got to the point where I had to carry a portable battery everywhere and a "full charge" would last 40mins. This was not a sustainable solution but I've been very hard pressed to find a "wow" phone after the Nexus 6p. I've been a perfectly happy Nexus customer other than the battery issue and I still rate the camera up there with the best of them.So after debating purchasing a new phone, going to a phone shop and doing it myself - I decided to get this kit after watching a few youtube videos on how to do this. I recommend watching tingawing5 and repairs universe to give you a good idea on how to do it. The only extra kit I had was a hair dryer and a swiss army knife (a craft knife would do well too, you need a thin blade/point). After 40mins, I managed to take the whole thing apart and you have to use a bit of effort as things are stuck/fastened very securely. Be careful of the last step of removing the battery with a business card, there is a cable fully hidden by the battery and it's very hard to see while you are desperate to finish the job at that point. Now to post-installation: I've installed this battery for 2-3 months now and wowwwww, it's like I have a new phone! I can use the phone all day without recharging - it's usually about 20% at the end of the day after heavy usage. I've been using accubattery and it's estimating this battery is closer to 3650mAh with an average 22hr combined usage (screen on/off). Really happy with trying this out and the battery usage is very stable. At this rate, I'll probably use it until the pixel 4 comes out!

It works! Just need an extra tool or two.
Very pleased with the battery so far. I bought it to replace the battery in my Nexus 6P. It didn't come with instructions, so I looked up a youtube video on how to replace the 6P battery, and that worked pretty well. The instructions I viewed recommended a iFixit iOpener Kit but I was able to use a blow dryer (on high setting) eventually to get the pieces out that I needed along with the included tools and a utility knife. An X-Acto knife would be ideal, if you have one. It took me some time to get the small glass part up around the camera. There are six small screws that have to be unscrewed from the 6P - two on the camera end, four on the USB plug end. I missed one on the USB plug end and it wouldn't come out there, obviously, until I remedied that. When I had it all back together it worked but wouldn't charge. I had to take it apart again (much easier the second time) and reseat the battery connector. There is a small bracket that holds the connector in place, that bracket has to be just right or it won't hold it in reliably. There is a tiny flange that has to fit under a fitting on the end of the bracket, make sure to do that. Now it is charging well. The battery connector is slightly too long on this product, but if the bracket is on snugly this is not an issue. I could have wished for the product to come with a sturdy X-Acto style knife, but for the price, I'm quite happy. Saved me from getting a new phone!

Highly recommended!
Been using this now for 6 months, the battery life is excellent, it lasts me 2-3 days with light usage, or 1-2 days with moderate usage.Installation is a bit tricky, but the tools that are provided were sufficient + a hot air gun.Just be sure to heat up the glass over the camera enough before removing it, as I cracked mine by putting too much force on it before it was ready, and now have bits of dust in the lens

No Issues
I was concerned that the battery would not be as reliable as the original, however after using it for a couple of weeks it has a long life and is not subject to heat issues. So the £20 spent and time taken to install it far outweigh the potential £600 to purchase a new phone.

New battery, new life.
I love my old Nexus 6P. A beautiful handset (mine is gold) which I am reluctant to part with. The battery became a problem, discharging within 3 hours. As soon as it hit around 40 odd percent the phone would shut down. Now I’ve had it replaced, bingo. It’s as good as new. I got a friend to install it for me and he said it was easy to do. I’m a happy bunny.

It works well
You need hot gun to melt the glue, the materials supplied will not help. But battery is very good and solved my issue.Watch some video on youtube on how to remove the existing battery.I used hair dryer, but be cautious it can heat the battery in the phone so I covered the phone and applied hair dryer only on the edges.

Best upgrade you can buy. I no longer have to carry my cable everywhere!!
It is what it says it is. I cant comment on how long the battery life is as I have just installed it, but I was getting around 2 hours out of a full charge with the original battery. I will however say it is very slow to charge. Its been on for about an hour now and done 35%. Its easy peasy to install, just make sure you use a heat gun and be very careful with the top glass as they are prone to breaking (mine didn't this time, but from all accounts I am very lucky.). Another thing Iw ould say be careful with the heat gun warming up the bottom cover. It is made from plastic and it will bubble and warp slightly, mine has!!, but not really bothered about that as you can buy new glass and bottom combined for like £7. So well worth replacing both of these when you remove them.OK. I charged the phone to 100%. It took 40 mins to drop to 99%. I am extremely happy with this service. Thanks alot you have saved my phone.
