Like that it is not complicated to express the time. The alarm works great and the light adjustments work.

Very easy to see, nice clock. Wish it wouldn’t change to bright so suddenly at 6am. Auto dim is great but when it changes back to bright at 6am it tends to wake me. Maybe I’m missing a feature. Will look into it more. Other than that it’s awesome and easily seen from across the room! Very good price too. I updated my review to 5 stars because it tells me it reverts to bright at 6 am. So they shouldn’t be punished for my lack of research. However with that being said, if the clock is close to your face at 6am (mine is about 5 feet away …the sudden change may wake u too). I’m thinking about getting one with the red numbers …might work better for me. I didn’t at first cuz I thought I wouldn’t be able to read the red….now I’m thinking I will and the sudden change of red might be so flashy.

I purchased this clock 2 times. The first one after about 5 months was defective. Part of the number on the hour side became dimmer than the rest of the numbers. It was past the return window so I couldn’t return it. I thought it was just a one off defect so I bought another one because I liked it. Now after 6 months with the new one, it’s doing the same thing just on the other side. Again, past the return window. I called Amazon and they credited me for both.Thanks Amazon for your great service!!!

Pros: Great display format. I needed a simple bedroom clock with large numerals that I can see at night without my glasses. Clean look, compact form, great value. The dimming function based on time of day instead of relying on a photocell is a nice touch that I hadn't seen before. The other features are "nice to have" but I really just wanted a clock.Cons: The dimming design needs work. First, there are only two fixed levels to choose from (not three), bright and dim. The dim level is too bright for sleeping if you are sensitive to extraneous lights in the room, and there is no way to reduce it further. The auto dimming simply means it sets it to dim mode at the appointed time. If it was already dim, nothing changes. The brightness menu needs to include a setable brightness for the dimmed nighttime mode. The difference between bright and dim is only 4:1; it needs to be a lot dimmer in a darkened room. Finally, I don't like the flashing time colon (personal taste) - there should be a menu item to make it steady. A simple workaround is to cover it with a piece of black tape if it bothers you.

The clock has a nice, simple look to it, and that's about it. The instructions are legible but hard to follow. It does offer 24h or 12h clock options. The clock also has the option to run on batteries OR plugged into a USB port. The quality however is definitely lacking. The plastics used are cheap and it's lightweight enough to be knocked over by blowing hard enough on it. The lights on the numbers (on mine atleast) bled over the lines making it appear cheaper than it already is.Overall it was a great addition, but only from a distance.
