The stones are beautiful. It was a nice bang for your buck.

This was a fun gift to give my husband around the holiday season. He loves crystals and rocks, and this provided fun for both of us as we tried to guess what was going to be in the next spot within the box. Would make a great countdown gift for someone, who is counting down to a big day.

I gave this to my neighbors two boys on December 1st. They LOVED it!! They are ages 6 and 9 and loved reading about the minerals and fossils. This calendar was also great quality for the price. I highly recommend.

This crystal advent calendar is a nice option for those with less traditional holiday tastes. I love the excitement of counting down to the holidays, and if these stones are as pretty as advertised, I will find a glass to put them in when done so I can enjoy them all year long.As for the calendar itself, I was very tempted to open just one door to see the stones, but had to hold back. The construction of the box is sturdy. Although it is heavy, from the stones inside, it held up well to the travel to my house. The "doors" are all intact. I have to say I wish for a little more seasonality inside...maybe not the stark black and white. A little sparkle, a little gilt/silver would have gone a long way to make this pretty for holiday display. As it is, you'll be looking at a stark black box for 25 days. Maybe set it up with some greens around it. It won't hang, by the way. You'll probably want to prop it up somewhere or leave it flat on a surface.Anyway, I'm excited to see what awaits within, just wish the calendar itself was a bit more festive, since I'll have it out for nearly a month.
