My son's Halloween Link costume didn't come with a cape and he insisted he needed one. He did let want it too long a s this one was exactly what he wanted. I ordered one for each of my boys. They love them.

I got this to complete my sons Halloween costume. He is a 5T and it fit him to the floor. The material is that thin crushed velvety material that is common with costumes in a bag.

This cape is basically just the smaller version of the adult costume capes that we already had a couple of. The material looks nice (it's like a crushed velvet) but is by no means a thick fabric, and should not be depended on for additional warmth. This cape is pretty small and was just a little bit smaller than what I was picturing but it worked out well for my smallest kiddo. I think the age range for this cape would be 5T-8 (I think it would get pretty close to the floor for the 5T and above the ankles or higher for the size 8 depending on how tall your kiddo is, obviously). On my smaller sized kiddo (9yo and wears a size 7/8) it fell short of touching the floor by maybe 5-6 inches or so-- if I am remembering correctly. Although I had wanted it to be a little bit longer for her costume, it ended up working out very well for us because this year's Halloween ended up being very wet and very cold, and we certainly did not need anything else dragging through the soggy leaves, as we walked roughly 20 yards before her dress was already completely soaked through.

The material of the cape is nice and soft, with a velvety finish on the outside that gives it a nice shine. It is not as thin and higher quality than some other Halloween costumes capes I've seen, so that's great!I got this for my 8yo son's DYI costume for which we needed a cape. My only regret is that it is pretty short (sits above his knees), so this is most likely appropriate for smaller kids up to 5-6yo max.

I purchased this for my daughter to wear at a local Renaissance festival. The cape is thinner than I expected- in fact, you can see through it if it’s held up to the light. She’s a short 11 year old, and hit about knee length on her. I wish it would have been a tad bit thicker, to look more authentic. Other than that, it works fine for a costume.
