About what I expected
Unit came with a european power supply (which I replaced). Other than that surprise, it functions well for what it is: an economy priced PTZ. It's slow, but it works well and with HIK viewing (ivms4200) software, very easy to control, including presents, zoom, focus, even patrols.

Won't activate motion recording / Unable to load Hikvison firmware
Will not activate motion recording with QNAP Security NVR. Even though QNAP shows camera is supported.Have other Hikvision cameras that do activate motion recording with QNAP Security NVR.Any attempt to load Hikvision firmware onto DS-2DE3304W-DE camera is rejected.Seller has been very helpful in working with me, and attempting to work with Hikvision.QNAP has also been helpful in working with me, and attempting to work with Hikvision.Problem is Hikvision changed their Firmware, will not help downgrade Firmware to known working version.Hikvision will not help either Seller or QNAP.

Great small PTZ camera for the price.
Hikvision makes great cost efficient cameras that work with Synology Survellance Station. You need to tweek the firmware settings to get things setup to your liking. I suggest installing a micro-sd card to record locally and to provide edge recording for supported nvr or survellance software. This particular camera doesn’t have built in IR diodes but it does have the ir cutoff filter and works well with external IR sources. Panning is not 360 so there is a rotational stop that needs to be taken into consideration when mounting. Day/Night ir cutover doesn’t work smoothly in auto mode and will oscillate several times before changing over. Camera has good quality optics, auto focus, zoom, and pan/tilt speed as well as many event detection settings. No built in microphone but supports external mic connection. Works well with POE so you only need to run a network cable.

You'd better hope you have no problems because HikVision won't help you
I set up the camera and it came up on my browser, however I could not get it to work with the HikVision SADP or iVMS-4200 software. After countless tries and checking Google for a solution, I gave up and called the HikVision support number (909-612-9039). They told me they won't help me resolve the problem because I did not buy this from one of their US distributors. Aren't they HikVision?? What terrible support! I sent it back to Amazon for a refund. I urge you to stay away from this company because if you can't figure out a problem on your own, you're stuck!
