Excellent speakers and subwoofer set.
Much better speakers than any I have bought previously. Subwoofer is excellent and is adjustable. Set up was easy, for a 5.1 surround setup. Wires can be plugged in or, as I did, bare wires can be inserted into hole and screwed down securely at the speakers. With my Denon AV Receiver, gives an excellent sound. The sound was mediocre at first, fortunately the Denon has an auto setup that made the sound superb. More than I wanted to pay, but gives an excellent sound. Good looking too. Suitably bracket on back to wall mount the rear speakers. You will need to provide audio cable as none is provided.

Superb value for money
Wharfedale's new DX-2 speaker set offers superb value for money. The set sounds good and now with the new rounded edges, looks good as well. Very hard to beat this set for this amount of money. I'll be holding on to this set for many years to come.

A great speaker package at an affordable price.
This speaker system is surprisingly good. You could also purchase extra surrounds and use them as height speakers, if you have the amp and wall brackets. Unless you are downgrading from a high end speaker package, I’m not convinced you’ll beat it. Just read any review. The centre channel is crisp and clear with ample mid-high range, the surrounds full of detail. I’m hearing sounds that were missing in my old setup. The frequency range is pretty impressive all round (with a bit of tinkering). I’m using this with Atmos, and the sound is fantastic. Sure there’s probably other packages out there for more £££ but at this price I think you’d find it difficult to beat. The only thing that will not do these speakers justice is (in my opinion) a poor AV Receiver. Also, as other reviews have stated, do not remove the foam bung from the sub port. Oh and one flaw of note is that the sub has terrible noise filtering. It seems to be susceptible to external electrical interference (hum) from things like wireless telephone hubs (or perhaps I just happened to have a one-off issue). My old JBL woofer sat in exactly the same place and didn’t hum at all. So although this Wharfedale sub is much punchier, I had to reposition my phone hub away from it to stop the buzzing sound whilst the sub was dormant. Now that I have, there’s no more buzz. That’s my only criticism.

Good piece of kit.
Looks good, sounds good, good seperation. I found the remote a little hard to understand at first, requires reading a few times and then again. People have complimented it.

Not sure what to say! The speakers amaze me even today, the base still shocks me I keep wanting to turn it down as neibours may complain t but then I think what the hell just leave it on.The clarity of the voices is crystal clear.
