The eufy Security Floodlight Camera E340 is an absolute powerhouse of an outdoor camera, and it has made a huge difference to my peace of mind. Despite how advanced the features are, the setup and physical installation were incredibly easy and straightforward. The instructions provided are clear, and the mounting process went smoothly without any unexpected complications, allowing me to get the system up and running in no time at all. The dual-camera system is brilliant. The combination of the wide-angle and telephoto lenses provides crystal-clear 3K resolution, so you can easily see broad areas while capturing sharp details on people or vehicles. The pan and tilt functionality works flawlessly, moving smoothly to eliminate blind spots completely. The 2,000-lumen floodlights are impressively bright and illuminate the entire driveway perfectly when motion is detected. I also love the fact that it supports 24/7 continuous recording, dual-band Wi-Fi for a rock-solid connection, and seamlessly connects to my HomeBase S380 for expanded local storage. Best of all, there are absolutely no monthly subscription fees to access your own video history, which makes this an incredible long-term investment. It is a robust, feature-rich, and incredibly reliable outdoor camera that is simple to install and performs flawlessly. Highly recommended!

TLDR: this is an excellent piece of kit. In the last three years I have purchased 4 of these bad boys. No problems with any of them. Installation is a breeze. Eufy/Anker have thoughtfully designed it so it can accept power connection from behind or below. WiFi connection solid 2.4/5ghz. The feature set, quality of product and app, and overall package is compelling. If you have an existing exterior floodlight fitting becomes even easier. I cannot recommend the product enough. I don’t think there is a better way of massively boosting your home/premises security at this price point. Only thing to remember : memory card sold separate and absolutely required to get the most of this device. Love it !

These are nice clear cameras and easy to install and setup but that's it. They go offline randomly throughout the day meaning it doesn't record 24/7 to my Homebase 3 which also goes offline. Eufy support can't seem to find a fix ad I've lost 2 500gb SSDs in the process which in this day and age is costing more than the cameras and Homebaase combined....

I've owned several Eufy Wi-Fi cameras over the years, and the Eufy Floodlight Cam E340 is by far the best value in the lineup. The standout feature is its 24/7 recording capability, which is essential for a security camera. Many battery-powered Eufy cameras are limited to short event clips, often capped at around two minutes, with gaps between recordings. The E340's continuous recording provides much better coverage and peace of mind. The video quality is good, the floodlight is effective, and overall it offers a strong combination of features for the price. However, there are a few drawbacks. Since the camera relies on Wi-Fi, the connection can occasionally be unreliable. Over the past 180 days, I've experienced several instances where the camera froze or lost connection without any advance warning, which is frustrating for a security device. I've also found that the HomeBase S380 can struggle when handling multiple high-resolution cameras recording simultaneously. Even with two HomeBase units in my setup, performance can become inconsistent when several cameras are recording 24/7 at the same time. Despite these limitations, the E340 remains one of the best-value security cameras in Eufy's ecosystem. The continuous recording feature alone makes it a worthwhile upgrade over many of Eufy's other camera models.

I use a number of Eufy cams so believe me when I say this is one of the best security cams Eufy provide. For starters it supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi. Almost all of Eufy's products only support 2.4GHz wifi so this having 5GHz support was a godsend because the 2.4GHz band was getting real clogged up with some many devices in the area. Set up was very simple and the floodlight is really bright even at 50% brightness, so at 100% it will sear retinas without fail. There are a few things to watch out for when getting this. This camera requires hardwiring to the home power supply as there is no builtin battery, but if you already have an old floodlight you wanted to replace you can easily remove that and put this in. The mounting plate that comes with it has multiple holes to allow it to adapt to existing screw holes in your wall should you choose to replace your existing light, and it even comes with a handy metal hook to allow you to hang the light on the mount while wiring it without fear of dropping the light. When you first power it on, be ready for no activity or lights for a while. I thought I wired the camera incorrectly, but it turned out it takes a while to initiate, and eventually the front led light will appear red. This is when you can connect to it to control it. Remember to set up the camera via usb-c power first inside your house before you hang it up or it will be very tricky to do so after you've gotten it on the wall. The camera takes up to 128GB of microsd card, but if you have a 3rd gen Homebase you can connect to that instead, but you don't need it to make the most out of the features of the floodlight cam. The video it records is very clear, it can follow people around quietly, and the built-in alarm is very loud, deafening people with 100 decibels of screeching. There are 2 camera lenses, the first being a standard lens while the the other has 3x optical zoom for a much closer view of the subject. The camera records both cameras at the same time as well and in 3K quality to let you see scenarios up-close and backed up for the overall bigger picture. My biggest advice if you decide to get this is to make sure to set up the PIR sensor sensitivity and detection areas because the camera uses PIR to detect movement off-camera to swing the camera over to record possible threats. I've had it detect someone from the other side of the road far into the distance. It managed to not only detect them but film them with the floodlights on. Have this configured to avoid having it go off needlessly and waking up the neighbours. Overall, a great floodlight camera! No issues using it so far! Update: oh we have a problem. I have noticed that at exactly the same time every night the floodlights would turn on as if somebody had did it manually and will stay there on until I turn it off. Had happened a few nights in a row now so it’s not a coincidence, something is going on. Appears to be another one of those bugs Update 2: turns out I’m an idiot. I set the Ambient Light mode on to follow sunset to sunrise. This had the lights suddenly turn on at 10:30pm every night and I thought I was being hacked. Turns out that is the sunset time local to me and the setting isn’t what I thought it was. I thought it was a setting to enable the floodlight to detect motion at night but it turns out the Ambient Light mode was really to act as a constantly active source of light like a personal streetlight for your home. After I realised that, I disabled it and the issue went away. 5 stars again Update a year later: I can tell you now this floodlight camera has been amazing. I’ve had these kids who would walk onto my drive and mess around suddenly scarper because the floodlights came on and they knew they were being recorded. They used to mess around on my drive throwing my paving stones around and playing Knock Knock Ginger on my front door. Not anymore since I got this as the kids are from my area and I know their parents. You want a deterrent, get this!

This floodlight camera has been fantastic and really gives me peace of mind at home. The video quality is clear, the light is bright, and the whole setup feels sturdy and reliable. Setup was quick and straightforward, and once installed it’s been very responsive — the light and camera react instantly when motion is detected. When I first installed it, I turned the light function off because it was a bit sensitive and triggered for everything. I recently turned it back on and it’s been much better, so I’ve kept it running for the last four months with no problems. One big advantage is that there’s no subscription required. The upfront cost is a little higher than some other brands, but for me that’s absolutely worth it to avoid ongoing fees. It’s also great not to have to rely on batteries — being wired in makes it more reliable and means I never have to think about recharging. The AI detection is excellent — it reliably tells the difference between people and pets. It even tracks the neighbour’s cat when it comes into the garden at night, which gives me confidence that it won’t miss anything important. The only small downside is that if you change your Wi-Fi password, you need to go outside and press the sync button to reconnect. It would be more convenient if you could update the details through the app. Other than that, it’s been an excellent purchase.

Mounted over my dog enclosure and covers back of house. I love it that it is so versatile, AI face recogniction. i checked it has analyzed my face 159 times last i checked and now it detects me every time. i set detection area so it ignores areas in preset positions that are irrelevant. Overall SPOT ON. My only question and time will tell, what is life of the rotating camera assembly/gimble. This specific product needs power cabling, which fits my needs, there is another version with solar panels. I wont say if it is good or bad, but overall. I pref power fed solutions, with battery backup not relying on battery with/or solar. Wired i can make use of dual cameras and area scanning with intervalls etc without draining battery. I reccomend this product. My personal pros and cons. Pros Versatile - so many functions that helps, and compatible with smart home systems. Powerfull - Face, pet and vehicle recognition etc. long term economy - no fees, you can buy cloud service if you want. Also you can store locally. Hi res - dual camera, with AI and lock on, you get real 2k crisp images. Cons Screws - Mounting a camera so competent should not be so "chineesium", screw head (not threads) ripped for me i had to find alternatives. And i used quality tools. Attention - Although i spend alot of time setting areas where it should keep attention, i keep getting false triggers from things like shadows and passing cars lights, or even a tarp blowing in the wind can sometimes be detected as a face, human prescence etc. Dependence of power - backup powerpack just as the doorbell. Would be pretty nice.

Fijne camera. Reageert goed, prima nachtzicht. Voeding is 220V. De lampen geven veel licht en zijn verstelbaar. Het is geen kleine camera. Tot nu toe 2 weken werkend en geen problemen.

Solidly built product. Very wide angle capture, high quality video and the lights are excellent - you can dim them where necessary to a point your neighbors won't be bothered. Negatives: the waterproofing between the wall-attached hardware and the camera could be better and it does let water in during high wind/rain, so make sure you open the drain hole every now and then to remove the water. Setup is a bit janky - make sure you follow the manual and initialize the camera BEFORE you mount it - otherwise it's a HUGE hassle - there is no way to remotely initialize a mounted camera, you have to run a USB cable to it! App is ok, but not perfect, and very occasionally I will find that a camera has drifted from its preset angles.
