This book is a 'must have' for any Boa keeper/ fanatic. The author covers everything from Taxonomy and how to count scales (to help identify subspecies) to the nine different subspecies of Boa Constrictor (each one with its own chapter). The book also contains detailed chapters on breeding and health problems encountered with this species, and the pictures that are in the book are both in color and have great detail. The book is a total of 281 pages, with four of them being the reference and appendix pages. I would recommend this book for ANY snake owner, and would say that this book is a MUST have for any Boa owner!

This book has amazing information all around, from keeping them to feeding them. The knowledge that I gathered from this book is priceless, I recently decided to get a Boa and Ret. Python and I felt so lost because what the pet shops tell you versus what you actually need are two different things. This really helped me clarify most doubts and gave me a better understanding of what I was doing with my new snakes, not only that but I gave me some good search material and leads as to where to get the stuff I would need.Thanks to the Author for the amazing read and info.

The best book of its kind. A lot is changing on this subject so some info may become outdated.

Bought this for my son when he was really interested in snakes. He learned quite a bit and was able to set up his snakes in a healthy habitat thanks to the information.

This was purchased for my wife who is trying to start a Boa Constrictor breeding business. It came highly recommended by other breeders that she talks to all the time. She was quite pleased by the in depth information that the text provided.

This should be a required read for everyone that owns a boa. Subspecies are effectively covered. Care instruction is accurate to veterinary recommendations. Lots of color pictures of locality and morphs. Fantastic.

From the boa godfather, this publication might be expensive but if you are a serious hobbyist, breeder or potential breeder this is the 'bible' for you. No other publication can match this book, it is a must.
