I like the fact that there is no chance of accidentally locking or unlocking the car with the key in your pockets, but it is really hard to operate the car locking system using the key switches. For instance, my wife cannot operate the switches as it takes a very hard push to get the switches to operate.

New unit matches exact dimension precisely. Important,since can retain old base(which contains tiny transponder) . Car ignition exchanges security signal with transponder when you try to start car, so easiest to use old transponder lid with new front that contains the flexible buttons. Transponder is tiny inconspicuous plastic rectangle which MUST be retained within replacement key. No transponder means car won't start !

I bought a cheaper version of this and I got a cheap version.When I bought the first one of these from this supplier it fitted perfect I was always under the impression the key was screwed in but no, a small split dowel and it was done I did super glue around the base of key to make it solid There would be no problem fitting a new one again.So I sent for the second one that's done as well.The old ones were 14 Years old .Thank you Ron Ellis.

once the key has been cut, it will do what I want, obviously there are no workings in the fob, so it will only unlock the door boot and ignition, it wont work by pressing the buttons......that said nothing wrong with this product.
