Tulip Fabric Dye Pod Blackout (Black), Permanent Dye for Clothes and Fabric

If you follow directions it really works well. All of my black clothes looked new again. It does not work on fabric not already black .

The dye doesn’t work and has poor quality compared to the description I was given pre-buying. I ordered gray dye but it turned out dark blue. I honestly had high hopes for this item and hoped that it would do the job. I am very disappointed in this item as it left patches everywhere on the jacket I tried to dye. I followed the exact instructions yet was met by the sight of my ruined jacket.

The package says Blackout and means it. I briefly wondered whether it could blackout memories too. Unfortunately, there are still approximately 20 years of grievances, one Jekyll & Hyde comparison, a surprise “not her too,” and a formal declaration that we’re all too old for frenemies floating around somewhere. Funny thing about blackouts, though: what you assume disappeared sometimes never actually went anywhere. Some connections survive the wash cycle remarkably well. Very well, actually. Best part: once the cycle finishes, the fabric actually moves on. Imagine that... oh and me n Dave are friendly still to this day so yeap dye your band shirts to make them new again...

It’s really not a great dye. I’m not sure if it’s due to using it in a HE top loading washing machine or it’s just crap. It gave the Cotten fabrics a faded grey color not black. Not sure if I’d buy it again. Depends on what I was gonna use it for.

Doesn't come out of the pod easily. It got trapped inside the material and didn't leave the pod. I had to sprinkle the remaining and rewash again. But I love how it really does dye the material easily in the washer. It might take you two rounds, to get it all out of the pod, but it works.

Previous tie-dye project (orange and red on white) needed a refresh. This pod was so easy to use and the result is a very even and vibrant pink. I wasn’t sure how it would react with previously dyed fabric but it worked great. I did get a little dye on my hands just opening the pod so would probably wear gloves next time. I also needed to buy more salt since it takes 1.5 cups. The complete process took 4 cycles of the washing machine, pre-wash, dye, wash, clean washer. My machine doesn’t offer a 2 hour cycle option per the instructions but it worked fine in just my longest hot water cycle which is just over 1 hour.

Work somewhat okay. Only really enough dye for one article of clothing

I ordered this hesitantly because of all the bad reviews but I’m so glad to say this product worked amazing for me !! I had two pairs of sweatpants, a long sleeve shirt that were faded and had terrible bleach markings on them, to the point where I was gonna throw them out but I decided to try this before doing so to see if it would help. I followed all the instructions and my clothing came out perfect ! They all practically look brand new !! I have a feeling these other people didn’t follow the instructions because I had 0 problems with this, I would 100% buy again !!!

Fiddly to use. Barely changed colour on a small cotton garment.

The colour came out a lot darker than I wanted so I had to re dye my shirt. However it did with regard to dying the garment.

So bad didn’t do anything

Followed the instructions and barely restored any blackness to the black pant damaged by bleach.
