MYVEGAN Pea Protein Isolate Powder - Natural Plant Based Amino Acids - Gluten and Sugar Free, Vegan - Banana Bread, 2.2 Lb (30 Servings)

THIS REVIEW COVERS THE MOCHA FLAVOR: I have tried Chocolate, Banana Nut Bread, Vanilla, and Mocha. I have not tried unflavored, but based on several other reviews, I have no intention to. THE POWDER: Its a very fine consistency like baking flour. I add it to cold water and ice and occasionally add blueberries, or cocoa power for an extra kick. I use a Nutri-Bullet mixer and it mostly mixes well. Its true that the power does tend to settle at the bottom if not consumed quickly, but I have not experienced any clumping. As I reach the bottom of my shake it looks like turkish coffee (lol) so I just swirl the remaining water to help dissolve the settled powder to finish. It does not taste chalky at all. THE FLAVOR (MOCHA): Of course, each person's taste buds differ, but I really enjoy Mocha. It's not as sweet as the Banana Bread flavor, but I'm glad. The taste is not that much different than Chocolate, similar, but enough to be noticeably different. My personal favorite is Chocolate, but they never seem to have it in stock. SUMMARY: It's very difficult to find a powder that has similar protein per serving compared to whey, as well as finding one without fillers, sugars, or ingredients that are allergens or carcinogenic. I still try to search for the "PERFECT" protein powder, but still haven't found one cleaner than this for the price. I would highly recommend this product and have been a user for over a year, purchasing about monthly.

One scoop of this powder did not dissolve into 20 ounces of water. Even using an electric mixer bottle that I have used for other powders before, it only dissolved half of the powder. I mixed it for twice the time I usually mix other powders. The first time, there was so much powder at the bottom of the cup when I was trying to finish drinking, it was disgusting. The powder does not seem highly soluble in water. This is not a deal breaker for me. The powder may just be better to mix with foods instead, but I always try a new powder mix in water to taste it. So I did the next best thing and I just ate a spoonful of it and then drank some water. The powder is very fine and sticks to everything, including your hands and cloths when you scoop it out. This is normal for all the powder mixes I have tried before, but I thought it might be worth the warning. The taste was definitely banana bread flavored with an added sweetener. The ingredients might be natural, but the taste didn't seem natural. As a powder it is absolutely delicious by itself, unnaturally delicious. This leads me to believe it will work better in foods, which is not what I had in mind initially, but is going to be my next step in trying this out. Unfortunately, I did not taste any pea flavor at all. I really like peas and also bananas. A pea and banana combination sounded intriguing to me. On the website, there was not a full ingredients list picture taken from the back of the package, so I was a little concerned, because most companies, such as this one, should be proud to show their nutritional information to the public, to encourage the sale of their product.

I think this is a pretty amazing product given that it's pea protein! The flavor of the banana bread is pretty spot on. The nutrition facts are phenomenal. Having 21 grams of protein for PEA protein is amazing. It has a slight texture to it, but I think that's to be expected with pea protein. It stirs in very well (even with just a spoon!), but not perfectly. MyProtein whey protein isolate stirs in perfectly. The only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is there's a slight chemically taste which I believe is brought on my the cinnamon. Aside from the chemically flavor, I think it's as perfect as it could possibly be for pea protein. Also, it might be a little pricey for PEA protein, even though it's high quality stuff. While I might not be using this to drink as protein shakes every day, I think I'll likely use it to add some protein to my banana bread recipe. Very great product and I'm thankful MyProtein makes such quality products AND is starting to offer vegan options :)

First time trying this it was pretty gross and I had to choke it down. The second time I used less water and didn't mix creatine or anything else into it and it was better, but still a little bland. 4/10.

I ordered this for the banana flavour. It tastes a bit different from banana bread (I prefer mine with nuts), but it is not bad. I use slightly less than the indicated amount so that it dissolves more easily in cold water, though if you dissolve it in hot water there is not an issue. I find that it is a bit too grainy for me in smoothies, so I will be using the rest of it as a drink mix. I am rating this four stars, as it is pea protein that does not taste bad. If it could be compatible with my smoothies, it would get five. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...
