Jury is still out on its effectiveness, but some initial first thoughts.....
I cannot yet comment on the effectiveness of the SI belt on my lower back pain. I will provide an updated review after using it for a while. This item took almost a week to arrive--which is not a problem, but not as quick as I've learned to expect from Amazon. The item is all black--no blue as indicated in the photo--again no problem with that. The belt appears to be of acceptable quality. My hips measured at 42" so I bought the medium. If I had it to do over, I would have bought the large size. The medium works, but there is no room for variation. Fortunately, the velcro is strong and holds it in place even with the tight fit. If the velcro weakens, it will likely have to be replaced--because there just isn't any overlap for the velcro to be shifted. Some have mentioned it can be worn under loosely fitted clothes. That is true, however---as a physically fit man, wearing the belt under clothing (even Jeans) produces an unnatural look--that simply looks weird. Worn tight, the belt squeezes together and flattens the upper buttocks. Although the belt cannot be seen under clothes, it makes the rear end appear as if something's just "not right". Women may be able to get by when wearing a dress/skirt.I did sleep in it one night--but the tightness made it uncomfortable to sleep in. Also, wearing at night is not conducive for intimacy. I'll leave it at that and just say I've decided not to wear this at night. For now, my intention is to wear it in the evening after work. I don't want to wear it at night. I don't want to wear it under my clothing at work during the day. Functionally, it appears that it will work great. But identifying when this can be inserted into your daily calendar can be more of a challenge.

SI Joint Belt
I don't think there is any SI Joint support belt that is perfect but this one does give me the support that I need when being on my feet for long hours at work. It is not good for sitting down as it will chafe my belly fat even though I wear it between my underwear and my pants/shirt. It is okay for sleeping in but eventually I end up taking it off in my sleep. The neoprene is comfortable the snap buckle not so comfortable. I have another belt that can hold in a hot/cold pack for therapy but is is not meant for support. I also have an inflatable support belt but it is not as comfortable as this one so I would recommend this one over any other belt out there. I would not use this for weight lifting such as squats/leg press etc. You need a weight lifting belt for that. I am getting back to the gym now but still not doing any heavy lifting. I am doing lunges only with this belt using my own body weight so that is great progress for me considering the SI joint pain I have had in the past. Had to go through physical therapy first go get to that point in my exercise program.

SI Pain Life Saver
This belt is very durable and has been a life saver for me. I have SI joint inflammation and being on my feet and walking were misery until I purchased the belt. I now walk 5 miles every other day. It's easy to use, easy to put on and stays securely in place. Note: it must be worn low, and over a soft absorbent fabric. Neoprene gets funky smelly if it's not washed enough, so I wash the belt once a week on the gentle cycle with the Velcro secured then hang dry overnight. It's good to go in the morning. I tried a couple of other belts, but this one, for me, is the best by far.

Much better than the expensive ones.
Good support. I have this brand and another, more expensive one. This one is a bit bulkier due to the buckle, but it grips better and quite frankly works better. I am not sure if the buckle is even necessary, as the Velcro and size make it work just fine. I wear it most often for distance driving or other long periods when I have to sit for hours and it helps tremendously.

This was my first time trying one of these and ...
This was my first time trying one of these and it didn't work too well for me. I had a hard time getting it to stay in place.

Thankful for this belt!!!
This belt fits well and helps to keep my joint in place. I am also having prolotherapy appointments to tighten the ligaments of the sacroiliac and hold the joint. The physician providing these treatments encouraged me to keep using this belt during the 6 months of treatments. I have 2 belts so I can wash one and wear the other.

Great idea, but doesn't stay put
Great idea. It's fine when I first put it on, but as soon as I begin to exercise it begins riding up, to the point where it is no longer providing any support. Perhaps if the inner surface had some kind of grip it would stay where it was put...

Comfortable, works well, a bit bulky
Having suffered with lower back/s.i. problems for years, I'm usually in need of a good SI belt. This one fits the bill. I can wear it on my skin without discomfort and it provides the needed support and pain management. My only dislike is that due to the buckle, it is a bit bulky under clothes so some things dont fit as well as with thinner SI belts. But, I dont have to worry about this one falling apart so the trade off is ok. Overall, quite pleased with this SI belt and the relief it provides.
