Montana Knife Works 10" Chef Knife

okay, I bought this for something like $5 so wasn't expecting much. Surprisingly very pleased with it! It did have a tiny little burr on the edge which has buffed out eventually with honing. I got it specifically for the low price and it's shape, which was hard to find. At least in my pitiful price range. I'm a lazy cook and don't sharpen (okay, okay, HONE) each time, but it still holds an edge quite well. I've used it on pretty much every cut of beef, pork, and poultry and nearly every vegetable known to man and it has worked very well on even the toughest low-end beefy bits. Even tried the fancy cucumber peeling trick and it mostly works, although to be honest, I'm pretty sure the fault lay with the user. VERY highly recommend

The tip of the knife was sticking out about a half inch, I just glad I was there to except it in person as they warned me about it. It was very sharp but not evenly shaped in a good curve on the heel. Other than that great for its price.

Sharp, durable. Can take a beating and have a new edge put on it forever. It's large and I do not use it as my everyday chef knife. It's great for large food items and big blocks of cheese, etc.

Ok so I’m a chef and I get constant crap for this giant “cheap” knife I have in my collection. But I love it and when it starts getting small because I sharpened it too much I get a new one. I also catch everyone I work with using it for something or another. I’ve halved hundreds of lobsters in the shells with this bad boy and it sharpenes right up again. Great knife for the money.

Bought this knife after using one at a resort that we were on vacation at. Ordered it while we were still on vacation and it was waiting for us when we arrived at home. Also purchased one for a family member. Great knife, great price!
